“The teacher was really friendly and informative. We ended up making so many dumplings, plus they cooked them in 3 different ways! They were all so delicious! Would recommend this class!”
“It was ok. We certainly learned how to make dumplings but as an experience it was average. You might be better with a YouTube video. Communication was poor. We felt like we were on a production line. I wonder if they were understaffed. We were not given any kind of welcome or plan for the session or even shown where we were meant to sit. It seemed disorganised. We had to ask for some really simple requests like soy sauce.”
“The facilitator, Charlie, was friendly and helpful. Regarding the course, I thought it was too simple and therefore not as enjoyable as I had expected. All the ingredients were already chopped up for us, so all we had to do was put them in a bowl and mix. I was hoping to make our own pastry for the dumplings, but we used store bought pastry in a packet instead. The most disappointing part was we didn't get to cook the dumplings. All our dumplings were sent to the kitchen at the back, behind closed doors, so we didn't get to learn how to deep fry, steam, or pan-fry the dumplings. All in all, it was a "fold-the-dumplings-and-eat" class.”
