“The day started off beautifully, Bhavna made us feel welcome with a freshly brewed homemade chai and yummy snacks. Then off to the kitchen we went to be introduced to the variety of ingredients that we were going to cook with, including whole spices, ground spices, home-made yoghurt, home-made ghee and the various cooking oils (coconut, mustard, sesame and rice bran). We each took turns assisting with preparing dishes while being provided with clear instructions along with a bonus history lesson that made the class unique and interesting. Of course, the best was left until last when we got to sit down and enjoy the lovely meal that we helped to prepare (and got to take some home too). Highly recommended, will definitely be back to enjoy the other classes offered.”
“I picked this class as a surprise birthday gift for my boyfriend and we both had such a good time! Bhavna was so lovely and had great communication from start to finish. It was so fascinating to hear about the history of Indian food and I honestly could’ve listened about it all day long! It was interesting to learn about the different spices, oils and ingredients used before class, which deepened our understanding of the flavours and fundamentals when cooking! The dishes learnt in class felt really achievable for us to cook ourselves, especially with the booklet Bhavna gave us to bring home, which contain recipes and more that was covered in class. Would definitely take another class with Bhavna again, I’ve already got my eye on her South Indian food class for next time! Thanks for the memorable time, Bhavna!”
“I had a fantastic experience! Bhavna was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the Indian cuisine history but also warm and friendly. She shared helpful tips and easy to make recipes. I walked away with new skills and delicious food. Highly recommended this class if you want to cook , learn and have a great time doing. Thank you”
“The cooking class was fantastic! From start to finish, the experience was fun and interactive.
The host was friendly and engaging, who explained each dish clearly, shared great tips and cultural insights, and encouraged us to get hands-on throughout the session.
We made 7 delicious dishes and there was plenty of food to enjoy.
I highly recommend this class!”
“This was a fun and amazing class!
As some one who is Indian & has grown up eating Indian food & watching how it is cooked, I was really impressed by Bhavna’s depth of knowledge and application of food chemistry which enabled a much deeper understanding of why the food is cooked and flavours layered the way it is. She made the class incredibly fun as well as somehow managing to show us how to make a wide variety of dishes with plenty of practical tips and hints to help us translate the learning back to our own kitchens. Thanks Bhavna for a wonderful session”
“What a fantastic time we all had on the course! Packed full of useful information about how to get really good tasting Indian food in a way that doesn't involve hours and hours of work. Plenty of hints and tips on how to make life easier that gives me loads of hope that I should be able to do something similar.
All done at our own pace in a really welcoming friendly environment. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn about Indian cooking at home.
Thanks Bhavna!”
