ComfortBilt HP50S Pellet Stove - Arctic White Reviews

4.8 Rating 18 Reviews
We purchased a HP50 a few years ago, and while it works fine, it trips the GFI on the circuit it's plugged into. Nobody told us that their pellet stove would do this. Comfortbilt knows about this issue and they say they are working on a solution. The only work around we came up with is to plug the stove into a Jackery battery....at additional expense of course. This is very unacceptable, the company doesn't say anything about this before you buy their stove. Very shady of them.

Sorry to hear that Greg. This is not an issue unique to our stoves. We are not aware of a pellet stove that is recommended to be plugged into a GFCI outlet due to the tripping that will continually.

So far, I am so pleased. It was basically an out of the box and into use kind of situation. It is super quiet, super warm, and has a small footprint. I couldn't be happier. I guess time will tell, but right now, I am very pleased.

Was disappointed to find out exhaust was not only on the opposite side of st0ve but also higher than the HP 55 now I have to wait until it warms up to rework exhaust.

I have had the stove for a year or so and ran it all winter last year. It produced a ton of heat with efficient pellet useage. It easily heats my 1400 square foot home without any issue. It is also worth stating that while this is a fantastic pellet stove, all of them do from time to time require some type of maintenance. Poor Pellet quality can contribute to this too. The good news is, Comfortbilt stands behind their product. They will answer tech questions in detail in a way that makes sense to a novice, they have a lot of videos to help you and more importantly, the stove when built kept all of this in mind so that when a part needs replacing it is fairly simple and straight forward. I have owned other brands of pellet stoves and while they have their plusses and minuses, none of them had the responsive service that Comfortbilt does. You are not just buying a pellet stove, you are buying a whole team of experts right along with it!

I bought this stove used. Had about 3 months time on it. Owner want a wood stove. I’ve had wood stoves for 30 years. Best thing I’ve done I have a 1600 sfoot house. I push the buttons on the remote. 3 minutes later a beautiful fire. Heats the whole house nicely. I live by Mt Shasta and get lots of cold weather, i will never split wood again. 2 years now and I’m buying a new cast iron pot. That’s it. I am very happy and content
