“I was a little skeptical about the lids by design but i really do love them. I’m 30 so my lids aren’t drooping but i do have asymmetry which does bother a lot. Lids by design has really fixed that and i think my eyelids are changing from wearing them everyday. My only wish is that they would make the outer tape a softer material so my makeup will stick to it better, I will be buying more later on.”
Hello Ahlona,
We recommend using the COLORSET All-In-One Pencil over the eyelids and strip to create one smooth surface before applying your makeup.
Apply to the strips as much as you would prefer, be sure to blend. When we don’t use the COLORSET to blend, shadows can adhere to the strip differently than the skin, showing the strip to be visible. Apply any makeup as usual (matte eyeshadows work best), be sure to start at the edges of the strip. The COLORSET is designed to help your shadow pigments pop, be more resistant to water, and seal the edges of your strip for all day use.

“These lids help open up your eyes and take away the drooping and aging look of older eyes. I have been using them for 6 months now and I would not be without them. Great product to relieve drooping eye lids without going under the knife.”
“I just purchased these, and they are amazing! I can apply eye shadow on top, but the actual top of the product is tucked inside my new crease. They are invisible. It's amazing. AND I only have this problem on one eye, so now my eyes are evened out and yes, it's more youthful. I can now apply lighter shadow on the lid and accent with a darker shade in the outer corners like I used to when younger. They are amazing! Buy them and watch all the videos on how to apply!”
“When you manage to get these positioned correctly they do exactly what they are supposed to do beautifully.
The only problem is that it is very difficult to put them on properly.
There is no way to peel them off even with the pointy tweezers without compromising the edge that the tweezers lift. That tiny scrunched piece remains visible on your eyelid.
In addition. I wish I could apply eyeshadow on top of the tape but you cant.
BOTTOM LINE - IT LIFTS YOUR EYELID NICELY”
Hello Christine,
Thick tweezers are not designed for application of our delicate strips. The delicacy of LIDS BY DESIGN is what makes them comfortable and transparent, but this also means they must be handled with care. Our specially developed tweezers are the thinnest available, which means they touch the strip as little as possible and limit the risk of damage.
I would be happy to share some tips on the application of the Primer Pencil.
First be sure to place your LIDS BY DESIGN strips to the eyelid. The COLORSET is oil-free, so use the warmth of your skin to melt the pencil when applying onto your fingers, or your skin. “No matter what I do, these are not transparent as advertised. I can see them without makeup and when I put makeup on my eyes it looks terrible and the strips are extremely visible. And, yes I did buy the blender stick.”
