The controls have been developed to be intuitive, really simple and quick to use by anyone. The timer can be set in two ways, either as a minute minder so when the time is reached the hob beeps, or you can set it so that one or more zones switch off automatically when the time is reached - great if you are busy and don't want to worry about burning down the kitchen. You get lots of safety features such as an automatic safety switch off, residual heat indicator warning you if the surface is still hot and a child safety lock to stop little fingers messing around. Overall you get 7.2kW of power, which means it can't be plugged in and you will need to get this hardwired. The front left zone is a small zone that can be increased to a large circular zone whereas the rear left zone is an extendable zone, ideal for fish pans.
