I ordered this distinctive hood for an open-plan kitchen project as a central feature, and have been very pleased with it. It arrived well-packaged, with plenty of protection for the round glass canopy, which is toughened anyway, and the rest of the items were well bubble-wrapped and secure in a strong box. The instructions are fairly easy to understand, and the hood hangs from a circular plate screwed into the ceiling, and vertical steel hangers allow you to hang the extractor at a range of heights. A sliding sleeve within the hood can extend to cover the hangers, so it always looks slick. Once connected up, I found the draw was very powerful, and the 3 speed settings give a good range of power. As the extractor will obviously be used a lot in open plan and island designs it's good that the draw is strong, to quickly clear those cooking smells and fumes in an open space! The built in spotlights are surprisingly bright, and illuminate things nicely. My only complaint is that the glass canopy can be a tad fiddly to install as the steel spacer is very thin steel, and tends to pop out of the small locating slots, which is tricky when you are wielding a heavy glass polo-mint at eye level! This is only a small point however, and if you be sure to grab a friend to help with this, you will be fine. All in all a very good buy, and for the price some similar extractors are selling at, a great bargain too! Very pleased with it- definitely adds the wow factor Jamie
