You simply use carbon filters to help get rid of the smells from cooking so your kitchen feels fresher. Youl need CCF200 carbon filters (not included) with this cooker hood. These filters attach to either side of the motor and typically last 6 to 9 months depending on use. The black finish looks very elegant and stylish, and you get modern but easy to use touch controls. The controls operate the 3 speeds, the lights and the 9 minute shut-off timer, so you can leave the hood on after you have finished cooking and it will switch off automatically. The stainless steel & aluminium grease filter is washable and will absorb fatty, greasy residues in the air, helping to prevent sticky grime deposits building up on your appliances and units. To be most effective, it is recommended that you start the extractor in advance to create a flow of air and for obvious reasons the carbon filters will not absorb the large amounts of condensed steam released when boiling water without a lid so following best and keeping a lid on pots when boiling is advised. Lastly, this box style hood features two bright and efficient LED strips that give you fantastic visibility around your cooking area so you can see exactly what is going on when whipping up your favourite meal. Installation: This Hood gets attached to your ceiling, by fixing a steel plate to a joist from which the hood will hang. Your ceiling needs to be strong enough to support 120kg. The steel wires are adjusted to hang the hood at the desired height above your hob or cooker. The filters are designed so you can replace them at any point after installation.
