“The 'afternoon tea for two' was more than adequate for two people. We added a few sandwiches and fed 4 people with cake left over. All of it was very tasty. I was worried about the scones as they had been dispatched a couple of days before we ate them. No need to worry...I followed instructions to heat them up and they were lovely.
I have two constructive comments to make:
1) the jam was a big disappointment. It was more of a berry sauce. It was very runny. It had taste - but could only be poured on the scone.
2) I am not sure if the outer packaging had a 'this way up' sign on it - unfortunately our package was turned upside down and the cake that had icing on top suffered. The icing stuck to the cakes outer packaging. I scraped the icing off and spread it back on the cake. The cake was still very tasty - just lost its appearance.”
“Ordered a lovely afternoon tea for 3 for a 40th birthday. Cakes were delicious and so much food we even enjoyed some more of the scones & brownies the next day,”
“Whilst the Tea was well packaged, the cake slices weren't totally intact, but they tasted really good. The brownies were excellent, but the jam/cream/scone piece was underwhelming.
Warming the scones definitely the best thing to do and they brown up perfectly - but the Jam wasn't particularly special - on the runny side and I think (for the price) a jam assortment could have been included rather than just a single runny strawberry jam.”
