“I recently purchased two Cygnett Smart Wi-Fi Plugs with Power Monitoring to add to our existing collection of Cygnett smart plugs and globes running under our Apple smart home setup. As usual, the Cygnett product finish and features are excellent but the pairing process was a challenge this time due to a setting I needed to change on my iPhone for the Cygnett Smart App so that the Cygnett App would recognise the new smart plugs. The setup documentation/videos and FAQs made no mention of this setting and appear to be unchanged from when these products were released a couple of years ago. This made for a pretty frustrating setup experience and possibly means the products aren't keeping up with the newest features of Apple's devices. However, all's well that ends well and I'm pleased to report that we got our Xmas lights up and running in time to keep up with the rest of the street.”

“Brilliant smart plug - much cheaper than the competitors and it works with Apple Home Kit which most plugs don’t. I think I have 12 of these now - they are transforming our Christmas decorations and other devices.”

“Excellent product. Works flawlessly. Had some trouble setting up at first because the devices only support the 2.4 GHz wifi band and my home wifi has the same SSID for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz meaning I couldn't force my phone onto the 2.4 GHz band. The trick I used was to move almost out of range of the wifi because 2.4 GHz has a bigger range. This forced my phone to select 2.4 GHz and find the devices. I have about 10 of these devices throughout my home and once they are setup, they never falter. The integration with Apple Homekit is flawless - more reliable than a number of my other home automation products.”
