“The Simple Dimmer is a great addition to have. I installed one in my living room and bedroom. However, if you have a ceiling fan you may notice a humming or low frequency sound consistently coming from it. This only occurs when the dimmer is not set to max brightness. If you are using this switch for a room with ceiling fans you may hear sound coming from the fan. Other than that the switch is great to have if you want to dim your lights.”

Sounds like you've noticed a little humming from your simple dimmer when using it to control your fan. Just so you know, these are usually designed for lights only but we are on the verge of releasing our fan speed controller very soon.
In fact, I'll add you to the email list so you know when. We recommend replacing this with our fan speed controller instead when it's available or using the simple rocker toggle switch that was in the home when you moved in to avoid any future issues.

In regards to distribution, we don't have a center in Canada just yet but for the time being it doesn't look like we have one coming but you never know what the future holds this may change.

“I installed the Simple Dimmer in our downstairs hall and I really like how it dims the very bright light in this small area.
The only negative is the dimmer switch is installed in close proximity to our garage and when the garage lights are on the 4 LED lights in the hall flicker. I believe this is caused by the type of light the builder used in the garage. I called customer support and spoke with Tory who suggested I adjust the trim flywheel on the back of the dimmer switch but unfortunately those adjustments did not work. Our garage lights are not on long enough, however, to make this a bother.
I really like the versatility of the Deako product and I will certainly be adding additional switches in my home. My interaction with Customer Service has been positive as well. Tory in addition to helping me with the flicker he did a great job explaining to me how to fix a paring problem I was having with previously purchased switches.”
