“Several of these in my house don't operate properly, unfortunately. They occasionally work fine, but then they will suddenly go into some mode where they no longer react to motion at all, even if I'm jumping up and down in front of them. I don't get it. I've reached out to Deako support and they've replaced to the switches, but the new ones do the exact same thing.”
There is a cool down period of five minutes - could that be what it is? If you turn off the switch manually, then there's that period so if you go back into the room, it won't turn back on and restart.
