Unfortunately, this is standard across many lighting industries. From offroad vehicle lighting to amber bulbs for porch lighting, they all drop in brightness when a yellow, amber, or red translucent cover/bulb is placed over them. Even colored bulb filaments and LED’s with the same power output to white will be dimmed.

“It would be nicer to have red LEDs in the kit. These filters reduce the transmitted light to a large degree. If the tent was not so dark we could lower the intensity of the light and still see the same. Would like to be able to buy a couple of red filters instead of a 3 pack. Using the Red and orange. It's good that you can put these on the tripod and then lift them into place when needed. EG: Cook dinner under white light then lift the filters into place while hanging out.”
