“I have used it in two ways. First, I live in the woods and when I let my dog out at night, it puts a light out away from the house so I can see further out. I may look into a longer cord so that it picks up the dog closer to the ground. It picks up my motion as I walk out. One downside to this is it can pick up leaves blowing by etc, reducing battery life but knowing this, I recharge it as needed. I also keep one in the dark spot in my garage workshop. If I just need to run in for something, I don't have to turn on a full set of lights. It picks up the motion and keeps the light on for an amount of time I control.”
“This is by far one of my favorite accessories for my Devos LightRanger. Having a motion sensor on the LR1200 has not only preserved a lot more battery life, but it's also nice to have for when my wife or I need to use the restroom in the middle of the night. This, combined with a red filter on the LR1200, is clutch so you don't need to fumble around for a switch to turn on the light. And speaking of filters and accessories, definitely go pick up some of the filters for the LightRanger1200. It 100% helps with softening the bright lights AND helps alleviate any mosquito or bug problems you may be dealing with. They love that bright white light but the yellow or orange colored light, they don't seem to like at all!”
“Easy setup! Used it the first night outside our camper to BBQ, what a difference, even with using just one light! Once I attached the motion sensor light, going in and out of the camper to take the dogs out, was awesome. Well worth using this extra item! I’ll be ordering the secure pole attachment next just in case for windy days or if my lab wants to try and knock it over :)!! This is one item I’d definitely purchase again if needed!!”
