A poor quality product, didn’t fit the grinder properly. With a mortar raking disc fitted the shroud would have been destroyed when used.

Not very good doesn’t catch all the dust. The brackets that hold it to the grinder are 3d printed and feels very brittle. Some of the holes are to close to the edge and when you put a screw in it splits the side . Returned for a refund.

First of all, the product works pretty well! It's not going to extract 100% of dust (plus too many variables with the quality of attached vacuum etc.) but certainly deals with the majority with a standard Henry HVR200 attached and is a valuable addition to my tool kit, especially when working indoors. I do have some remorse after buying though, as I feel like the quality of the overall package I received represents something which should be half the price it is. I specifically asked support before ordering if the shroud would fit my model of grinder and was told it would. It didn't. Even the instructions specifically listed my model as compatible but it wasn't (unless I was originally sent the wrong size?). This is for a current model, mainstream product from Makita. To their credit, support was very responsive in getting the problem resolved and very quick in sending me an "adjusted" replacement which now fits. The adjustment however seems to be a fairly crudely trimmed version of the original, for which I had to provide the dimensions required over the phone. That and the fact that the adaptor rings are clearly 3D printed and of poor quality and finish, makes me feel very much like in buying this product I have been part of a product development or prototyping phase, rather than buying a finished product. I have no problem with that if it were reflected in the price, but at £120 delivered, that is one expensive piece of plastic! Once the issues were resolved, fitting was straightforward. I have made a couple of cuts since fitting and already the adaptor ring is working loose. I fear that the adaptor will not stand tightening more than a few times and the screw will pull through, rendering it useless. The disc cover mechanism is quite fiddly to fit and doesn't snap firmly into place which doesn't inspire confidence, although to be fair it has stayed put during cutting. I appreciate it would be vastly more expensive to produce, but could you consider machined aluminium adaptors with tapped screw holes? Perhaps focus on supporting fewer tool brands/models, but to a better level of quality? QuadLock bike mounts have taken this approach (supporting only the most popular phones) but created a first-class product as a result. In answer to the review survey question "Would you recommend to others?", sadly at this price I cannot. Perhaps with some further product development or a significant price cut, I would feel differently.

great bit of kit. this guard is much more useable than the metabo extractor unit I've been using for some time . the metabo guard is big, bulky and doesnt give you a clear view of the blade , which makes accurate cuts almost impossible without a guide rail.
