“What a great tool, I am always a bit sceptical buying something like this as they are generally built up to be more than it is but I can honestly say that this attachment has been worth it’s weight in gold. We have just ground out the end of our house to repoint and we have had 6 x 30 hoover bags full of dust and grindings, not only do you benefit from not having to sweep all this up but you are also not breathing in the dust. This has to be one of the best things we have bought in a while. Would definitely recommend.”
“Impressive & exceptional dust control, with little effect on mobility or accessibility.
Great innovation applied in a manner that greatly helps on site.”
“Firstly this is an expensive piece of kit, but it's head and shoulders better than anything I've used before. You only get the occasional dust escape at the start and end of a run. Its seems robust and is very easy to handle. I recommend it completely.”
“Must say, very impressed with the shroud.
I was hesitant at first due to the cost, but the time in prep and clearing up saved, more than out ways the purchase price.
Thanks for a great product.”
“This angle grinder dust shroud is surprisingly effective. Connected it my DeWalt DCG412 grinder and used it for chasing cable runs and sinking backboxes. No clouds of dust or spending hours afterwards vacuuming everything in site. The size of it limits accessibility a little in tight spaces, but overall very happy with the product.
The downside is that the instructions are poor and I had to modify the supplied adaptor ring to fit my grinder because it wouldn't clear a captive nut on the grinder housing. Also, the grinder guard, retaining spring and lock have to be permanently removed, so it would be a time consuming mission to switch between shrouded/unshrouded use. My solution was to buy a 2nd grinder, but that effectively makes this shroud about £300.
It's a lot of money for a bit of moulded plastic, but it is effective. If you're going to leave it permanently attached, buy a 2nd grinder and use it regularly then I'd highly recommend. If you're doing a 1 off DIY job then save your money and spend an extra hour cleaning up”
