Angle Grinder Dust Shroud for 110-125mm Grinders Other Reviews

I’m happy with the dust shroud for my dewalt 125mm grinder but the attachments don’t fit the hose of my dewalt 54V, M class extractor. I called to see if the was something available and was told “to look on the website to find it” There wasn’t much to look through so I still have no solution.

Bought this for a job our builders are doing for us. We'll benefit from the lack of dust on site and they will continue to benefit in the future from better lung health as they will keep it in their kit. They are impressed with the operation and no dust means they can see what they're doing easier. Pricey but great product.

Instructions to assemble could be better and the blade cover is difficult to reattach. Works ok when set up

Bought the 110mm-125mm shroud last week but only used it yesterday for a job at my daughters house. The previous owners had removed a chimney breast in an upstairs bedroom and had cemented over where it had been. My job was to remove the cement and patch in 20mm wooden floor boards with minimal dust. I connected the shroud to a Numatic Commercial Henry vacuum, switched on and made a few cuts length ways and there was absolutely no dust, apart from the initial contact with the cement, which could have been avoided by angling the Shroud differently by me. It was absolutely brilliant, the shroud felt solid, I could still see the blade and see where I was cutting but no dust, inside a bedroom!. The effective cutting depth was about 20mm with my 115mm Angle Grinder but was enough to allow me to then use a fine chisel and break out small sections of the concrete. The job was so quick and clean, couldn’t believe it, in the past I would have built a small tent around the job to contain the dust but no need with this Shroud. I could not have done the job without the use of an Angle Grinder to get the job started. I can honestly say if you are doing any jobs in the house or out where you want to contain 99% of the dust, the Shroud is a must have for your toolkit.

It's OK but there is a room for improvement. I'm using dewalt m class dust extractor which is very powerful and dust extraction i not so great with this shroud. I think this should be made of aluminium not plastic. Cheap screws, soft plastic. The end piece should be in angle and twistable like makita shroud which is made of aluminium and hard plastic
