What a great experience! Staying at Asa Wright Nature Center is must if you are a bird watcher! Everyone working there is SO nice and accomodating, plus the food is fabulous and the cook came out to visit us at dinner every night. The boxed snacks we had were 5-star restaurant quality. And they had a large variety of trails. We visited the Grand Riviere to see the endemic Trinidad Piping Guan. What a treat. And then we flew to Tobago and stayed at the Blue Waters Inn. We took a glass bottom boat to Little Tobago Island and some of the group went snorkeling. The food there was delicious, too!

The 3 stars quote is related mostly to the overall customer experience or emotion that the tour created. This is the result of poor weather which has hindered the sighting, but also and most importantly the result of too much driving in winding roads in poor quality vehicules which took away our energy for birding, specially when its about driving 2+ hours to see few birds. Accomodation and lunches were also a big issue at Pax House. Finally, Trinidad was very desappointing...lots of garbages everywhere, which was not the case for Tobago. We ought to give a 5 stars for our guide, Ernesto Carman, who made the difference in many ways. Many of the issues were not under his control though. He is very knowledgable and caring, so was Barry our local guide in Trinidad. We saw 100+ species. This tour will greatly benefit from rethinking the Trinidad part.

Birding was very good, Guides were excellent. Accommodation was comfortable and food was delicious. The venues catered to a variety of dietary requests. This was our seventh trip with Eagle-Eye and it met expectations. They did a great job of organization. We got 50 more lifers. We would recommend this trip.

This tour was a great way to see the birds of Trinidad & Tobago. The Eagle Eye Guide and the local guide(s) complimented each other. The world famous, Asa Wright Nature Center & Lodge was an excellent place to stay and is one of the top birdwatching places in the Caribbean. The tour provided excellent birdwatching opportunities on Little Tobago Island as well. Birdwatching, guides, food & accommodations were excellent.

I would rate the quality at 4 1/2 stars, and the value 5. How can you not like a trip where you see several lifers while leaving the airport! Great to have only two locations (Asa Wright on Trinidad, and Blue Waters, Speyside, Tobago) so you can unpack and organize. Generally great guides, although one local guide seemed to ignore requests and queries from women. Superb birding: saw the birds I hoped to see. Terrific trip.
