Jan 18 - 26, 2026 | Arizona is one of the top birding destinations in the USA, and winter is a great time to visit, with cool mornings and pleasant days. We will look for migrants, residents and Mexican rarities. This trip is filled with diverse species including the Violet-Crowned Hummingbird, Vermilion Flycatcher, and Arizona Woodpecker! Join us for a relaxed tour in a diverse and stunning landscape for excellent Arizona birding!

“We had a wonderful trip exploring southeastern Arizona. The guides, Kyle and Alyssa, were very knowledgeable, but were also very open to identity suggestions made by the people in the group. The group itself was small enough to give a family feeling. My one suggestion is that people who sign up for this trip (or any other trip) should arrive at least a day early to allow for any travel issues. We almost missed the beginning of the trip because of some problems with American Airlines.”

“We had an awesome tour! Our guides Kyle and Alyssa were great. They helped us see so many new birds. Finding the elf owl was magical! We never would have found 174 species on our own!”

“Very interesting timeframe, place, and participants. Guides connected with locals to find us the best birds available. Weather was comfortable. The terrain was not too challenging. The food was great! Awesome all around! (“CATTLE GRATE!!!” …. Inside joke)”

“A wonderful tour of the birds of Tuscon and South. Led by two experienced and caring birders, Kyle Schanta and Alyssa Derubeis, you will go to many sites and see many different birds. As an easterner with no western birding experience, I learned so much from these two guides without stress. It’s the best bird tour I have been on.”
