I am a beginner birder and I really didn't know what to expect. What an experience I had seeing all these stunning birds, mammals and reptiles in their natural habitat! I'll admit, it wasn't easy with all the ground we covered but I'm glad I went.

I already did a long, hard-copy review of this trip at least 2 yrs. ago, so it may be hard to remember specifics. Great birding, in country I never would've dreamed of visiting if not for tour description. Saw not only a lot of species, but often several individuals, or even large groups, of numerous species. Only disappointment was not that many cotingas, which had been a big selling point. Kaieteur Falls a real highlight, including a fly-over in tiny plane. More excursions/travel by boat than any other trip I've been on, making it fun and unique. Accommodations, with the exception of nice hotel in Georgetown, were rather primitive, but at least had indoor plumbing and a fan. Food good and plentiful. We all got sick at one of the lodges, apparently from contaminated water. Our guide was violently ill for a couple of days, but went beyond the pale to ensure we missed nothing, most notably the very long trip to see the Sun Parakeet. A very small group, which was nice, but still, vehicle (a small pickup truck) inadequate for number of people. The guys very gallantly rode on a very uncomfortable bench on outside back of truck, so the women could sit in comfort inside. Glad I did this once-in-a-lifetime trip, but anyone considering Guyana should be aware of the extremely high humidity and potential for heat rash.

I am so glad I went on this tropical adventure in the least touristy place I have ever been. Wonderful guides and delightful personalized group. I relished the rustic nature. Flying over the jungle and falls is a lifetime highlight for me.

Guyana is an awesome country, and thanks to this Eagle-eye tour, I feel I have gained a rather deep knowledge of this place: the different sites, habitats, people (particularly our Amerindian guides and hosts), vegetation, mammals and of course, birds. The whole organization (in their office, and in Guyana) was faultless and very professional. The only drawback may be one's physical condition or age: the heat in the deep forest was rather stifling at times. But I'm so grateful I did it!

Guyana is not your typical tourist destination but as a birding hot spot, it is world class. Our itinerary allowed us visits to many of the country's best bird watching locations. The quantity and quality of the sightings did not disappoint. Even got to see Red Siskin, Sun Parakeet and Guyana Cock-of-the Rock while recording 378 species in total. Lifers galore. The Eagle Eye guides (Paul and Rudy) were excellent and the local birding guides were also terrific.

Excellent tour, EE guide was very good, responsive to unexpected problems, tried to accommodate everyone's quirks. The in country guide was good but used questionable methods. Particularly flushing giant ant eater with motor bike

I thought our trip to Guayana was wonderful. Our guide Paul from Ontario was superb. He knew the birds and countryside and was also very personable and helpful to we paying customers. In addition we had knowledgable local guides everywhere we went. The food was good and our accommodations were always interesting and generally comfortable. The countryside and wilderness are not to be missed. One of the highlights for me was flying in the little plane over the jungle and seeing one little road running through trackless jungle. And ,of course, the birds! It has been 3 years and my memory is shorter every year but finding the Cock-of-the Rock after our hike through the cave, seeing our personal long-sought for sighting of the Harpy Eagle including an immature that posed for us for as long as we wanted to watch and on the last day the tree full of Sun Parakeets were all exceptional experiences. I highly recommend this trip!
