I went on Eagle-Eye’s High Arctic & NWT birding trip hoping to see especially eiders, loons, jaegers, and breeding shorebirds. This trip delivered for me! The two guides, Blair and Aaron, were fantastic -- super knowledgeable, generous, and passionate, and they worked well together. I appreciated the quality time we got with the birds, plus multiple chances at some. The tundra landscape was a captivating bonus, at once austere and rich, at scales immense and intimate. Sometimes I wanted an earlier start to the day, but the pacing was very good overall. My fellow trip participants were wonderful, too!

This tour was fantastic and I came home with both wonderful photos from the trip as well as amazing memories. The accommodations were excellent, the food was great, and it was incredible to see so many birds in their breeding plumage as well as some sitting on nests or with babies. I'm thankful we had the opportunity to enjoy the Canada Day celebrations while we were in Yellowknife because it added an extra bit of fun to the trip without taking away from our opportunities to see the local birds and wildlife. I also enjoyed the tour of CHARS that was arranged while we were in Cambridge Bay. I hadn't expected to enjoy the flowers and plants as much as I did but it was interesting to see the diversity and changes in vegetation as we moved from Edmonton to Yellowknife to Cambridge Bay. The plans for each day were very well thought out and I couldn't have asked for better guides than Blair and Aaron!

I chose this trip as it was a birding trip. Some participants wanted the cultural tour along with the birding, I was not one of them. For me, birding and wildlife is what matters. Every other information is available in Google if they so wish to know about it. I am glad we did not waste a lot of time doing cultural tours. I would prefer if Eagle eye tours stick with their forte of providing birding and wildlife trips and not make it a generic one in future. The stay was comfortable, the food was okay and Blair was very good in his job.

It was an excellent plan that involved several air travel legs including destinations not on the usual beaten path. Everything went just as planned from start to finish. Travel and lodging were all at mainstream quality levels. The guides were superlative. A totally satisfactory tour. Highly recommended by a 72 year old man in good general health.

It was a wonderful opportunity to see so many birds. however I also have a greater appreciation of the vastness of our north and the sacrifices made by those who live there.

Being able to go birding in three distinct locations connected only by airplane was a logistics challenge that was well accomplished by Eagle Eye and our guides. Amazing!

This Arctic tour is wonderful. We had great guides who shared their vast knowledge of all things to do with birding. We enjoyed comfy accommodations and cooperative weather. The tour was well planned and flexible too. Overall a tremendous experience.
