Sep 18 - 27, 2026 | Join us on a Quebec birding tour in the fall. We will visit Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area. At Tadoussac, we head out on the St. Lawrence in search of whales such as Humpback, Minke, Fin and especially Beluga. We will also look for pelagic birds such as Razorbill, Northern Gannet, Common Eider, jaegers and kittiwakes.

An excellent tour for both novice and expert birders and whale lovers. We were novice birders who thought we would enjoy the walks and the environment but actually got hooked on birding. The Gulf of St Lawrence during migration presents a real feast for the birding enthusiast or just great walks. We were lucky enough to spot blue whales, fin whales, belugas and more. You can be busy and on your feet for most of each day. We walked about 6km a day, ate well in local restaurants and the guides were amazing birders and hosts.

Great guides, birding and whale watching. The September timing of the tour was perfect with many migrating birds, cooler weather and fewer people travelling.

This was a fantastic tour. Our guides were Gareth and Arnaud, both of whom are passionate about what they do, work incredibly hard to make the tour as enjoyable as possible, and are always happy to share their knowledge and expertise. This was a great experience from start to finish, from the first booking to the last evening of awards and dinner.

This tour combined both bird watching and whale watching but was never rushed and we never missed anything. Our guides were very knowledgeable birders and were able to show us a huge variety of local birds and give us fascinating details about them and their habitat. They were also well versed in the whale population and made the boat trips very exciting .. as did the 7 Humpbacks that rose in front of our boat! Amazing ! And, the location was fabulous .. a very beautiful place with great weather. My traveling companions were lovely people .. and the food was terrific !

It was an amazing trip. The guides were outstanding and the group was terrific. We had some very skilled birders on the trip as well as one being a biologist so the trip was also very educational. We learned a lot not only about birds but also the flora and fauna of the areas we were visiting. We did see many different birds including many warblers and shorebirds. One of the highlights of course was to see the incredible numbers of snow geese. We had several opportunities to see these magnificent birds from afar in the thousands, close up and in the air. The whalewatching around Tadoussac whether by boat or on land was fantastic. We have never seen so many belugas. We were also fortunate to see a large group of gray seals at sea. All in all a truly great trip.
