Sep 18 - 27, 2026 | Join us on a Quebec birding tour in the fall. We will visit Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area. At Tadoussac, we head out on the St. Lawrence in search of whales such as Humpback, Minke, Fin and especially Beluga. We will also look for pelagic birds such as Razorbill, Northern Gannet, Common Eider, jaegers and kittiwakes.

Many aspects of the Quebec in Fall: Birds and Whales tour were a new experience for me as I had never been to Quebec before. We started out in the beautiful historic Quebec City where the birding was pretty good. Then we travelled down the St Lawrence River stopping along the way to enjoy the scenery and of course look for birds. The Fall colours in Quebec are well known in other parts of Canada and I was happy to be visiting and to experience the display. We saw thousands of Greater Snow Geese at Cap-Tourmente. In addition to interesting birds we went whale watching, and enjoyed a ferry ride across the St Lawrence River. This tour was interesting and lots of fun. As always ,the guide did a great job and as a group we experienced Quebec culture and great hospitality. Certainly a very enjoyable tour that I highly recommend.

So many of the birds were so far away - only could see them in binoculars. The whales - you occasionally so one of their backs surface, but that was it. Loved the places that we stayed!
