An excellent, in fact outstanding, bird tour in the hands of two highly capable and congenial guides, Skye Haas and Adam Kent.

The South Texas Tour was great. The group saw over 200 bird species and I saw 183 which included 77 life list birds. The tours guides, Skye and Adam, were wonderful. They really went out of their way to make sure we had good opportunities to see the birds. The day we saw the Whooping Cranes was very special and something I will always remember. The hotel accommodations were very good and I always felt comfortable. Thanks for a great trip.

This trip was an excellent introduction to the unique avifauna of a part of the country that many have not seen. The size of the party (12 participants, 2 guides) was small enough to avoid crowding and jostling. The guides were absolutely top notch with an intimate knowledge of hotspots for both common and uncommon birds of the region. The schedule was flexible enough to permit taking advantage of unplanned opportunities. this is a trip for serious birding; we saw over 300 species over the course of the trip and many of these are uncommon or non-existent of the lower Rio Grande valley..
