1911 Firing Pin FAQ
Why are there different firing pin diameters?
Over the history of the 1911, different manufacturers have used different firing pin diameters for various reasons, often related to caliber. For example, .092" was common for .45 ACP, while smaller diameters like .075" or .068" became popular for 9mm and .38 Super to increase breech face strength. It is critical to match the firing pin diameter to your slide's firing pin hole.
Gunsmith Installation Required For the safety and proper function of your firearm, this firing pin MUST be installed by a professional gunsmith.

I replaced the titanium firing pin on my MAC9 DS with this EGW oversized firing pin after I observed small chips around the shoulder of the original firing pin. Before reviewing, I waited till I had sufficient testing, including shooting some loads with Magnum primers. I am glad to report that this firing pin has worked flawlessly, even with a 19lb mainspring and ISMI extra power firing pin spring.

Just bought a 5" Prodigy Comp and EGW has everything I need. As I said before, most of the High End 1911/2011 builders use EGW parts or have used their parts in their builds.
