The EGW red dot sight mount for the Walther PPQ M2 .22LR installs in place of the factory rear sight and provides a low-profile mounting solution for optics using the Docter / Vortex / Burris FastFire footprint.
This mount allows you to install optics like the Vortex Venom (Open Emitter), Vortex Viper, Burris FastFire, Viridian RFX25, and other compatible micro red dots without permanent slide modification.
The mount installs from left to right with the muzzle facing forward. The dovetail uses a progressive taper for easier installation and secure fitment.

It required fitting, which I expected. The plate would not have fit tight or correctly had it not required being fit to my actual firearm. Very good optics plate. Thanks EGW

It took me while to find this mount, but happy with the quality and has a perfect fit, although I had to file a bit.

While this looks like a quality piece the angles don’t match the dovetails on my Walther PPQ 22. I had to file it to fit but then it didn’t hold firmly. Because of the miss matched angles.

Tight fit, installed on Walther PPQ 22lr by a very skilled gunsmith in Tampa. He had a bit of a struggle due to tight fit, and concerns about damaging Aluminum frame, but was able to get nearly centered, close enough for 22lr plinker. Mounted Burris Fastfire 3, fit like a glove, rock solid. Must use mounting screws provided with base, NOT mounting screws provided from Burris.

The staff was very quick in answering my questions and sent me an email with a link for the right mount. This mount was very easy to install.

I will start off by stating that I have not had a chance to reach out to EGW about this issue, just writing an honest "this is what I received" review. I ordered this for my son's 14yo birthday, so you might understand that I didn't want to dissapoint him by not presenting him with the new red dot on his Walther PPQ M2 22LR pistol. I know some tight tolerances are needed to ensure a good fitment, but the dovetail mount was too large on the mount and trying to initially force it into place was a mistake. Not wanting to dissapoint and with no time left for an attempted exchange, I started filing the mount down in an effort to get it to fit. I ended up having to file both the mount and the slide of the gun before it would slide in, which I think was a mistake on my part. I shouldn't have done that, but desperate times call for....... The mount now fits but when the set screw is torqued down there is a very notable misalignment with the slide, meaning torquing the set screw pushes the mount up in the back and down in the front, so it's clearly not parallel with the bore of the gun. We have not had a chance to sight it in yet and I am hoping that the elevation adjustments will compensate for the misalignment.

Mounted a vortex viper on my PPQ M2 .22 Mount fits very tight but instructions were very helpful as it’s a slightly tapered fit and is only designed to go in one way. I know I’ve read a few reviews about how hard this was to install and a few people even said it required some filing on the slide?! But I thought it was super easy. Like pressing any new sight in would be. You can see in my pictures that the mount is clear of the slide so no modifications were necessary. The mount and Optic hold zero so I’m very happy about having the option to install a red dot on this pistol that doesn’t have an optics ready option. Great product! Highly recommended!!! I’ll probably buy another for my XDS that also has no optic version
