The EGW red dot sight mount for the Walther PPQ M2 .22LR installs in place of the factory rear sight and provides a low-profile mounting solution for optics using the Docter / Vortex / Burris FastFire footprint.
This mount allows you to install optics like the Vortex Venom (Open Emitter), Vortex Viper, Burris FastFire, Viridian RFX25, and other compatible micro red dots without permanent slide modification.
The mount installs from left to right with the muzzle facing forward. The dovetail uses a progressive taper for easier installation and secure fitment.

Remove the factory rear sight

Apply blue Loctite to the optic mounting screws

“The mount is deliberately too tight to fit into the slide. Patience and some diamond files, 150 minutes later, and I had it squeezed in, ready for a lifetime of trouble free operation.”

“UPDATE: I spoke with Al at EGW. He explained what needed to be done and why. I had to "adjust" the mount using a diamond stone and a diamond file. Although this is not "ideal" I did eventually get it to fit. Red dot mounted and I am very pleased with the end result. Not sure I will ever be able to remove it, but it is mounted, solid and works! Original Review: Does not fit. On the first customer service call, I was asked to measure everything with a micrometer which I did. Called back and left a message and never got a return call. Called today and was told it is VERY NORMAL for it not to fit because of the tight tolerance and that all I need to do is buy a diamond file and file it down until it fits! I really expected it to fit as they said it was made FOR THIS GUN! Unless you have gun smith tools, this is probably not the mount to purchase!”

Thanks for the review! We are sorry to hear that you are not pleased with how the mount fit (or didnt fit) your firearm. We try our best to make these mounts fit guns without additional fitting and filing but since we do not manufacture the slides it is very difficult to match the tolerances perfectly on every gun. We recommend our parts be installed by a gunsmith due to this, but many customers have been able to take on the job at home. We understand how this can be frustrating.. If you are not happy with the mount we are not going to stick you with it, please reach out to our customer support and you can send it back for a refund.

“The mount does not fit w/o a gun smith. it will not even fit into the dove tail this is not for the PPQ M 22 LR.”

We are sorry to hear that you ran into an issue with our mount. While we do recommend having a qualified gunsmith install our mounts, it should fit your gun. Due to manufacturing differences minor fitting may be required. There is a part number that is machined on top of the mount, please compare that to the part number that you ordered. We want to make sure you were not sent the incorrect mount.

“The mount is as advertised however I had to remove a very minute amount of material in order to install the mount in the dovetail once done it started fine but was very tight on the slide but the function is perfect once fitted.”
