This mount fits:Ruger No.1 B Barrel ContourRuger No.1 S Barrel Contour We have found that Ruger No. 1's with 24"-26" barrels typically came with B or S contour barrels. Guns that came with shorter barrels typically came with A contour barrels.We have also found that guns in certain calibers have the holes in different locations.The recoil pin hole location on your barrel may be different from the recesses drilled in our mount. Ruger may place their recoil pins in different locations for different calibers. Our mount will still function properly with just the rear recoil lug and the mounting screws. Our mounts are designed to use the mounting screws as the primary recoil lugs. We recommend measuring the hole spacing in your receiver to confirm it matches with the dimensions we have published. Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, which gives the shooter flexibility when mounting scope rings and other accessories. Our one-piece scope mounts are the obvious choice for hunters and tactical shooters alike. We machine these in our shop using one of our machining centers. After machining, the mounts are tumbled, sand blasted, and Type III anodized for long lasting durability. Installation: We recommend 20 inch lbs of torque and a drip of blue loctite (loctite is available through our website and is sold separately). The entire mount and accessories (from the mounting screws and wrench down to the packaging) are made in the USA.  Warning: This product may be alloyed with trace amounts of lead and other elements which are known to the State of California to cause reproductive harm and cancer. To prevent exposure, do not alter the product by welding, grinding, etc. For more information, go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.

Had to file it down the back end for it to fit flush on my #1. Other than that it looks and works good.

Bought one for my Ruger No1 7mm stw, had to grind it down where barrel and chamber housing meets. Not good fit otherwise. Bought one for my Ruger No1 22-250 with bull barrel and screw holes are not even close. The descriptions on y’all’s page are kinda vague and the way I read it said would fit both guns. Hopefully I can return the second one and y’all make the one I need for the bull barrel. I have looked everywhere for them and the man from Vortex said y’all make them. But thanks for making the one for standard barrel.

Good solid base. Not the prettiest due to the front edge being square but it surely gives you extra room to adjust for eye relief. Keep in mind due to Rugers manufacturing tolerances these bases may need some minor fitting to your rifle.

The best rail to get the scope far enough back so you don't have to crawl the stock;
