“My daughter hated reading! First day we got it whereas 2 books didn’t want to stop to go to bed! Woke up the next day asking to read with ello and then after school came home to read with ello! Only 1 book left of the 5! So my only advice is send more books in a month!!!!”

“My 6 year old son has been struggling with reading at school so when I saw the advertisement for Ello I knew he would love it since we can download the app on his iPad and he can use it whenever he wants to use his iPad. We sat together for the first 5 books so far since we just started and we both love it! When he has trouble with a work they help him with it and by the 5th book I saw a big improvement in his confidence and reading better without so much help. I highly recommend Ello! I am so glad we found it and can continue our journey so he can become a great reader all on his own!”

“Ello is the best thing to happen in our house since the birth of my kids. My son hated to read and cried every time he had to. (I could read to him and he loved it but reading on his own, was torture for him.) Now he asks if he can read more and reread to books he has already read. Ello has been an answer to my prayers.”

“Hello everyone THIS IS A GAME CHANGER My baby would HATE reading and because he hated being still and sitting for a while After reading just 1 book from Ello he said ”I WANT TO READ MOMMY GIVE ME ANOTHER BOOK I HAVE TO READ!” Y’all I wanna cry he’s so excited and happy !”

“My daughter was affected by the delay that Covid brought with classes being remote. Because of that her reading is far below her grade level. As a concerned parent I decided to look into Ello to see if this could possibly help. She has had this for only 2 days and already has improved exponentially. She actually read an entire book on her own and she was really excited! I can tell that she feels left out at school for being so behind, but I trust that with Ello she will be able to catch up! I will continue to use Ello!! My daughter also loves it and is looking forward to reading more books!”

“We just started Ello and both my kids seem to really enjoy it so far. My kids have really enjoyed the books they received and I have really enjoyed that it’s something they can do wholly on their own. My oldest has been struggling with reading (thanks Covid!) and this program seems like it will be a big help. Highly recommend!”

“My child loved the concept of getting a box of books and reading out loud. However, the app’s (or Ello the elephant) ability to identify mistakes she makes or whether or not she’s struggling is not very advanced. I’d love for the app yo realize she’s reading too slow, pausing etc and ask if she needs help. Also, it doesn’t quite catch things when you misread. So you may mispronounce a word and it won’t necessarily catch it which I wish it would since that would really help in improving reading skills. Also, not quite sure how often the reading level will be changed but they are really short (short phrase per page and maybe 10 pages) so it’s not a ton of reading and my daughter flew right through them since the text was very repetitive in nature.”
