Gaggia Bottomless Portafilter Reviews

Fits perfectly in my Gaggia Classic Pro. Had to put a dab of blue loc-tite on the handle threads, as it kept unscrewing, but no big deal.

Fit our Gaggia Classic Pro (the new 2018 one) perfectly! Using the double filter basket that came with the machine from the stock portafilter and everything is working beautifully.

Works great for diagnosing shot problems. Much better for heat stability as well.

My order cam quickly. When I discovered a small problem with it, I emailed the owner and he sent me a whole new order right away. The filter works great and I love it and love to see how the espresso forms its creamy head. Great for espresso buffs. Fit my Gaggia Classic perfectly.

My Gaggia Classic was built in October 2013. It fit mine great. Gaggia classics have been being produced since 1991. In the early 2010’s philips/saeco purchased Gaggia and production of the classic was moved to Romania. My machine was built in Romania using the old design (probably still Italian parts at that point). Mine is comparable with the early parts and as such, this portafilter fits it. So I think if your machine was made in Italy or the date is same or earlier than mine, this is the one you want. It may fit some of the newer models made in Romania. The European version of the Gaggia Classic was cheapened using a smaller brew group and they did away with the three way solinoid valve. This portafilter will not fit those. It may fit the new North American model, as those according to some dealers have not changed. You will need to search on user group forums to figure out which one you have (as some grey market euro machines are undoubtably floating around the US) Hope this helps some of you out there.

Fits well on my gaggia classic. There is some confusion with regards to post 2015 models. I don't believe this affects the US model. If you're machine has rocker switches vs pushbutton switches you should be ok. Great quality. It feels solid though lighter than the stock portafilter. This makes sense since there is far less metal. I haven't used the triple basket included yet though.

Does not fit Gaggia Classic. The one made by Concept-Art on Amazon does - quality looks the same, which is good and actually better than the stock portafilter.

I bought this bottomless PF because of the reviews indicating that it fits GC. However, it turns out that it is to wide and does not fit a 2015 GC. By itself the PF is very high quality and would have received a 5 star rating. I was informed that the new Phillips owned company may have changed the PF dimensions.
