“Good kit and very good value for money. My headlamps were borderline at my last MOT so I thought I’d try this. I gave the lamps a good wash with a fine Scotchbrite pad before working through the three grades of abrasive on the drill attachment and the abrasive polish. Finally a spray of the lacquer finishes it off nicely. My only niggle was that the “Velcro” on the polishing pad isn’t very strongly attached.

“I chose the Holts kit as they are a long standing name I have known as opposed to the many other headlight renovating kits.
I chose to follow instructions ,but use each wet n dry piece by hand rather than a circular motion using a drill . A bit daunting knowing you are literally sanding the surface to a opaque finish that looks ready for putting in the skip. However , using the TCut type cutting cream with the sponge wheel now on the cordless drill . . . . .with time and patience the surface did eventually buff to a more clear smooth finish. Still not convinced I applied the spray coat . . .like others thinking it would be a type of clear protective lacquer .Alas No ! It did not dry !
Re-reading the vague instructions the day after I wiped the still wet coating off and buffed the surface . Now obvious it is merely a protective " coating" against UV which will need repeating from time to time.
The headlamps are a improvement and I am reasonably pleased. But it does need working at with time. All the rubbish you see on you tube is BS people wanting views. For the cost and result you probably could not improve on this kit.”
“My lights were in a poor condition so thought I'd give this a go, better than the £60-70 a garage wanted. Lights came out really well. At first I thought I'd made a mistake because the lights went really faded at first with the sandpaper, but once you apply the cutting compound.... WOW, they came up really well. A bit of elbow grease and £15 and what a difference.”
“headlights turned out good as new. though results depend heavily on paitence and attention. had to take a second run at it due to rushing the first one.”
“Excellent kit. After trying other, more expensive kits, this worked. Took roughly just under 2 hours to bring my lights back to almost new looking. I did find the polish (last step) took some work, so I used my Maguire's cutting polish to speed things up then finished with the holts polish but overall and for the price and finished result, very happy. Highly recommend, 100% better than products I've used in the past.”
“Did an excellent job of restoring the headlights and getting the car through its MOT, but I wouldn't bother using the drill adapter except for the final polish. I found the drill adapter for the sandpaper hard to control.”
