King Song 18XL 1554Wh Battery/2200W Motor Reviews

Bought a KS18L here as my 1st ever wheel and so far the experience has been awesome. The wheel itself is everything I was hoping it to be: fast, reliable and tons of fun but it's not perfect: it's heavy and the trolley to carry/roll it is a bit flimsy and since I use it a lot on my commute, it got broken eventually and that's where things can get complicated, needing replacement parts from a brand that is not widely distributed in the US but eWheels stepped up to the plate and shipped the new improved KS18XL trolley sliders in a couple days and even provided video instructions: this is awesome customer service and that's why I keep coming back as a happy ewheeler!

After recently learning to ride an EUC on a Solowheel Glide 3 / V8, I was a little bit concerned that it would be difficult to make the transition to a larger, more powerful wheel. However, the transition was really easy, and I now love the 18XL. The only issue I’ve had is that the handle lift-sensor doesn’t always work the first time (listen for the beeps), but that’s a minor issue and doesn’t take away anything from the overall great experience. The 18XL is super smooth, climbs steep hills with ease, and is very comfortable to ride. Even tight turns in small spaces have been no problem at all — it’s highly maneuverable. Even the speakers sound good. I like to use them when I’m not riding around other people. But, if there are people around, it’s more fun to listen for comments like, “Whoa! What was that!?”.

I switched to 18XL from 16S, and the new one is much more powerful, which matters a lot with my weight of 250 lbs. It's literally flying. Had a little trouble with lift cut-off switch, but a calibration solved the problem. 18XL is also a bit wider than 16S, and it doesn't fit in my gym locker anymore. 18XL has better lights, more visible from the front and the back. I didn't get a chance to test its rain resistance yet, but so far I'm very happy.

Love the wheel so far. Stable, agile, comfortable, and plenty fast. Came out of the box problem free. It is everything the reviewers claim it to be. After many days of deliberating between the 18XL, MSX and the Ninebot Z10, I finally settled on the 18XL and have no regrets. Will probably sell my Onewheel XR because I can see myself riding the 18XL much more than the Onewheel.

A little difficult to manage at first because my first wheel was a small one. But I believe this one is easier to learn on if you have the funds for it. But at the end of the day, you'll never need a car as long as weather/luggage permits. I use it as a daily commuter for work, light shopping trips, and joy rides. I absolutely love riding this EUC in particular because I can worry less about bumps and potholes and enjoy the experience of exploring the world.

I'm really enjoying the new KS18XL. The wheel was easy to hop on after my experience with a Glide3, offering more power, great range, smooth acceleration, and better handling of uneven terrain. I also really enjoy the larger pedals which Jason helped make a reality. My only issue is that the KingSong app is not very good. WheelLog is decent however and I hear a new KS app is on the horizon.
