“Amazing machine, after calibrating it & taking her on the road I hit an easy 40 mph. The confidence I get from the knobby tire once I go off road is INSANE no more slipping and sliding around like I do on my other wheel with a street tire.”
“I rarely write reviews but made sure I wrote one after dealing with Ewheels. I purchased the Patton S a few months ago after learning on & riding the V11 for about 2 years. The Patton S has been a phenomenal wheel & everything i need even as a bigger guy (6' 2" & 290lbs) the only issue i ran into was the original factory charger had an issue with the fan not circulating enough air & the charger was overheating but a few quick emails & Ewheels had a new charger shipped to my door at no cost to me. I absolutely recommend Ewheels for all your unicycle needs!”
“LeaperKim makes great options! Hands down nimble, lighter weight and fun. I’ve owned the Lynx, awesome wheel also. This is the Best mid-range for quality, weight.
Ewheels always responds to questions. As others have noted, their customer service it the Best!!”

Patton S Review
Pros:
Built tough with suspension
Safer brand, not known for battery fires
16" wheel is agile on sidewalks and in tight spaces
Great on bike parks and jumps
Cons:
20" wheel is more stable at higher speeds
Stairs are a struggle—small sets are possible, but risky
Not ideal for street riding above 35 mph
Overall: The Patton S is an excellent wheel if you understand the trade-offs of a 16" vs 20" wheel.
P.S. People commonly report their wheels getting bricked by trying to perform firmware updates through their smartphone app to the EUC. From what I've heard, Android is more successful than iOS. Be sure to set your phone to not fall asleep or go to the lock screen during the process. Personally: Don't fix what ain't broke. Don't update if it works.”
“I bought a Veteran Patton S. The build quality is excellent. The design keeps the wheel protected with the bars and pads taking impact if it crashes. It is a bigger wheel than my last one and took some getting used to. Everything works as expected. I hope Leaperkim keeps innovating. This is definitely a nice wheel.”
“The Patton S is my 4th EUC (S18, MCM5v2, and Falcon), but my first EUC weighing over 55lbs. I was hesitant to get a heavier wheel, but glad I did because the Patton S is amazing. I've done 20 miles on the wheel in the first few days and found it super solid out of the box. With the exception of a seat, I feel like this wheel requires no additional mods, or bumpers for sharp edges.
In buying this wheel, my requirements were: can sustain 30-35mph for most of the battery, a larger battery to better accomodate voltage sag, smart BMS, and plush suspension. And while the Rocket was on my radar as a potential next wheel, I've been wanting a Leaperkim to see if it lives up to the hype, and it does! In addition to meeting my main needs, the build quality and thoughtfullness that went into this wheel is incredible.
I think a lot of the weight of this wheel (even with magnesium alloy) is for structural support in case of crashes. I have zero concerns about damaging any key components, and "built like a tank" is appropriate for this wheel.
I watched some reviews saying the knobby tire has a dropoff feeling when making deep turns which I did notice it on my initial ride. But when I bumped the PSI from 30-35, that effect seemed to go away and the carving/turning felt more consistent.
I'd say if you are used to smaller wheels, this is definitely a big step up in heft. But if you are looking for a upgrade in speed/power/quality/comfort, the Patton S hits the mark and feels like a very refined wheel. Plus there are so many settings to customize that I'm very excited to see how it rides in it's final state after a few hundred miles.”
“This is my first wheel, so I have nothing to compare it to. the learning curve was very steep for me. In part because of its weight and high pedal position. I can attest to. It's ruggedness. it has hit the pavement uncountable times without serious damage. Mostly scrapes on the bottom of the pedals and a few scrapes on the bumpers. I managed to learn, seated riding first and have transitioned to standing now, and I am starting to appreciate some of the performance in acceleration and agility. I would give this machine five stars on its indestructible nature alone, But it is also delivers a very smooth and solid ride. The Stock seat is quite hard and uncomfortable, however. Only been riding for two weeks, but it can only get better from here.”
