WOW what a wheel! I started PEV riding on a Onewheel XR, 3 weeks later learned in a few hours on a mten3, 5 months after that a Shermax for street, 1 month later a Hero for trails. I needed better suspension from achy joints, and I can’t imagine a wheel feeling any better than the Patton-S. It’s just so powerful, agile, and fun with its light weight and compact size. It is the perfect wheel for beginners and veteran riders alike who don’t need crazy long range and value portability, power, and playfulness above all else. The hero was okay, but constantly bounced around like I was on a pogo stick and I was always worried it would spontaneously combust. This wheels suspension is absolutely perfect, the best suspension of any EUC maker by far. Just buttery smooth all the time, the grail of trail wheels. I’m seriously considering selling my Shermax to upgrade to a Sherman-L now for street, not that the Patton-S can’t handle street duty, but for when I want more range while touring and peace of mind hitting potholes with a bigger wheel. I never considered the Lynx because the three wheel setup is the dream, and with the Sherman-L only being 14 lbs heavier and twice the range of the Lynx, the Patton-S/Sherman-L combo seemed like a no brainer to me. I was considering the V14 as well, but I loved my Sherman max so much I don’t trust any other EUC maker, especially when Inmotion has had a history of quality control issues on multiple wheels with all the cutout, DOA, warranty claim horror stories. This wheel is a proven 2nd gen which gives me confidence, with about every safety feature one could want. Waterproofing would be nice, but I don’t commute with it or ride in the rain anyway and live where it hardly ever rains, that to me would be the one reason to maybe go with V14>Patton-S . Leaperkim is top tier when it comes to wheel build material and quality control, their lineup is limited and the attention to detail on the very few wheels they concentrate their attention on is very apparent. This thing is a tank and weapon, not one of a dozen toys the other makers rapidly pump out every few months that disintegrate after one small crash. I just wish they would make an ultra portable wheel that could fit in a backpack, so I could upgrade my mten3 and have a Leaperkim Trifecta.

This is my fourth wheel from E wheels always providing the best customer service. As for the Patton s what a great wheel super stable plenty of power great design will ride it over my other wheels any day. It’s basically a more nimble version of the Lynx now

I am surprised there is not much reviews on the Patton-S considering the extreme quality of the thing. Coming from an Inmotion v12 pro, I was not expecting much more than just saving my knees with a suspension EUC. Boy was I wrong! The acceleration and the smoothness of the ride are on another level. I’m no speed demon, I usually ride between 20-32mph. Over 25mph I used to start stressing on the v12 that felt kind of wobbly. The Patton-S feels much more stable at these speeds. I love how nimble it feels and the tire provides an excellent ride at 30psi for me. I’ve seen reviews saying the tire feels like riding on a knife’s edge, but I did not experienced that at all. I did feel this sometimes on the v12 though, where past a certain point it is hard to bring it back straight. I do not miss the color display of the v12. The Casio-Style display of the Patton-S is large and effective. The buttons are much easier to use for me than the tiny touch screen of Inmotion. Not missing having to press several times on the display to wake it up. I’m a tall and heavy rider (6’2” - 240lbs). Nonetheless, the Patton-S does not feel small to me and I was not able to bottom it out. I purchased the Patton-S as a pre-order. Ewheels provided me with updates on the production process and they’ve been very proactive and supportive. Buy without hesitation!
