“Worked like a charm by just following directions. Worked like a charm by just following directions. I now make my own Kombucha and save big $$. I now have a new, huge Scoby each time I do a batch that is as wide as container which is 10" across. The original one is very small but potent and it made it easy to make my own. I just discard old Scoby and use new one each time I do a batch although you probably could use old one more than once or give away but since its just me, I do it this way. Thanks”
“Fantastic kombucha from a great company - Support em! Recently got into kombucha and decided that I wanted to brew my own. Saw some listings, but was a little hesitant after reading various reviews. Came across this ad from Fermentaholics and their packaging actually caught my eye. I'm a sucker for good design and this definitely got my attention.There were only a couple reviews, but I browsed their website and decided to pull the trigger. Scoby arrived in perfect shape and was healthy as can be. Made my first batch already and it was heaven - no issues at all.Do not hesitate to order from them. “The Real Deal Holyfield. I've ordered other items from this seller in the past and have always been satisfied. This SCOBY was no exception. It arrived super healthy and in great packaging. The kombucha was delicious and it created a new Scoby within a week. One thing to note is that this comes with 8 ounces of starter which is great because its the exact amount needed for a gallon batch. Its important to read the listings as most others will come with half that and tell you to add vinegar to make up for the insufficient starter tea they provide. So if you dont compensate by adding vinegar the pH wont be low enough and you end up growing mold. I say spend the extra few dollars and get the proper amount of starter tea needed to begin with.”
