Classic Kombucha SCOBY – USDA Certified Organic Live Kombucha Starter Culture Reviews

Great flavoured kombucha!. We started a gallon of kombucha the day we received this kit. Within 3 batches we were able to split it and started a second jar. After a couple months the scobys are well matured and creating one gallon every 6-7 days, plenty enough for two people. Flavour is soft and very tasty!

Dead. I have had my scobie in its tea for two weeks with no results. No fermentation, no new scobie, no acidity. This stuff arrived dead.

Arrived before time and was exactly as stated. Cant comment on flavor yet. The instructions were perfect! For beginners (or ones who havent done this in years) it was precise and to the point without a lot of jargon. Thanks!!!

Makes great kombucha.. Upon arrival, the Scoby looked good but it was rather small in diameter. But after a couple of batches it grew to the larger diameter and fits better in the jar that I use. Makes a great drink.

Wow! Fermentaholics is The Best!. Tried many times to make Kombucha: getting a scobies from friends, buying scobies from fermenter sites on Amazon and via independent sites. One was even from a highly rated brand from which I purchase my tempeh starter. All were busts.By far, the best scoby and starter tea, most flawless, thorough and fail-safe directions, and speedy answers to my questions were from Fermentaholics. I was skeptical about ordering a scoby from Florida since I live in the PNW, but it arrived in fine condition. Waited until I was on my third batch of kombucha to leave this review. No problems from the get-go - if you follow the directions - to get a tasty, tangy and effervescent yield. Highly recommended!PS - I suggest getting stick-on thermometers to ensure your kombucha maintains adequate temperature. I keep mine between 82-84 degrees. Otherwise, you will be growing mold, which you should toss out ASAP.

First time brewing kombucha, so far so good (3 months in). I've never brewed a bottle of kombucha in my life, but inflation is hitting hard these days so I decided I needed to do it myself. Looked this up on Amazon and saw this as one of the best rated, so I decided to give it a shot. Look, I'm not a DIY guy usually, but this was incredibly easy to follow. I'm now brewing a gallon every two weeks which has been more than enough. I think my SCOBY has grown big enough to mother a second! Highly recommended for beginners like me.
