Works as advertised.. Keep the temperature in mind when brewing, keep out of direct light, and your good to go. It's best to do some youtubing on brewing kamboocha before starting, however it is very simple.

Good Flavor, Great customer service. I bought this once before and it worked out great! This second time, I am not sure exactly what happened. My suspicion is the high temps out here in far west Texas may have played a part mailboxes get really hot and postal trucks likely get really hot as well (So if you live in a high temp area, think about it, you know who you are 105-109+F in the summer). My second was not quite as successful. But, Fermentaholics are on top of it, they really care about the outcome. Reach out if you have any issues.

Easy to make just don't add vinegar, read my post. Don't add Vinegar! it's a different bacteria and can cause extra sour brews that are not mild. Just add a cup less of water so your ph is good. Dont worry about the size of the scoby most important is good strong starter that's a good ph. Also they can sink this is normal. They can be different colors to white or cream color even tan from the tea tannins. Normal!!! Kepp your Brew Warm ideal temperature is 72 deg. Colder temperature means longer brew time. I'm a Long time Brewer just wanted to see how their brew compares to some heritage ones. If it fails you can always buy a bottle of unflavored GT kombucha add a cup of tea and 2 Tbs sugar and grow your own.

A great way to get started with kombucha! This starter made it quick and easy to begin brewing kombucha. Also, the company has a lot of great advice to help you get going or figure out whether you're doing things right. I highly recommend!

Made it easy to get into making my own kombucha. I was completely clueless about how to get started. I thought about using a bottle of unflavored kombucha from the store, but I wanted a bit more of complete starter kit, with a scoby already there. This worked perfectly, and I've been brewing my own ever since. It's fun to experiment with different recipes, and I love how cheap it is compared to buying kombucha in the store! If you're thinking of getting started on your kombucha journey, this is the best way to do it. The scobies just keep on forming at the top of the jug with no effort on my part. I do recommend using a large jug with a spigot at the bottom, such as stores sell for iced tea. You should definitely get some bottles with stoppers attached for the secondary fermentation. Have fun!
