I have been riding the fluid Freeride daily for about 2 weeks in a small city setting. Overall I have been very happy with its performance. The front suspension and inflated front wheel mixed with rear suspension gives it a fantastically smooth ride. It is noticeably better over uneven surfaces (like brick sidewalk) than any sort of rental scooter. As a 195 lb individual I reach an average top speed of 22mph on flat pavement and seem to be getting ~16 miles of range. The initial acceleration curve is a touch slow but I think that is more a feature of control, your 0-12mph is slower than your 12-22mph. While being 40 lb it folds down into quite a small package and is relatively easy to maneuver. One of the places I ride it is the gym and it fits inside a standing locker. However I have 24 miles on the odometer and the inner tube of my front tire suddenly deflated. When I carried it home and investigated I first found that you do need more than the provided tools to remove the front tire and that there was no exterior damage to the tire. Take the wheel appart it seems that the inner tube was just old rubber so check that out. Hopefully this is an anomalous issue that a simple part will fix but as a daily driver this sows seeds of doubt about maintenance going forward. But in all I have really enjoyed the time riding. Honestly my concern comes from the fact that this is the best bang for your buck scooter out there and I just want to keep riding it.

1.) Buy safety equipment because even for a 255 lb person like myself this scooter moves fast!. (22 mph) 2.) If you live in south Florida like me, the repair location is in Miami and I can take it down for repairs instead of having to deal with boxing & shipping. It was also a great place to try out 2 or 3 different scooters (they had some that were even faster but this one moves nice for me) 3.) I use my scooter to go 2 miles to my Tri-Rail station, then ride for two stops and get off 22 miles north, then only have .5 miles to get to work. 4.) When I time it perfectly with my Starbucks mobile order, I can grab my coffee, commute to train and then commute to work FASTER than I could drive and a heck of a lot cheaper. It costs me $5.00 per week plus electricity to get back and forth to my place of employment. 5.) Only part I hate is going across railroad tracks or after rain and when you cross white or yellow lines that are slick.

The quality of the scooter is amazing. I've been riding it for almost a month and it's been great! The suspension is great when going on bumpy roads. The speed is just perfect, it's not too fast nor too slow (unlike cheaper scooters). It's also very good value for the price.

I watched a lot of YouTube videos before making a decision to buy the Horizon. I visited the shop in Brooklyn to do a test ride and fell in love with the horizon scooter. Chuck the sales guy was accommodating, helpful and down right awesome. I would recommend people to do business with him any day. The down side of going to the shop to purchase a scooter is they only give a 30 day warranty but the website provides the buyer with a year warranty. The shop does not allow returns and did not mention this during the time of purchase and they only sell used and refurbished scooters at a discount price. I wish I did not compulsive shop because I would have bought the scooter online new with the year warranty.
