“I purchased two of the Horizon 10.4s and have been very pleased so far. To date we have clocked about 50 miles on each. I wanted portable transportation to carry on our small trawler and e-bikes just were to bulky. E-scooters seemed to be the answer but we had zero experience. We rented Birds for a tryout and were not impressed - the ride was too rough for our liking. Having some suspension or air tires seemed to be necessary to make us happy.
The Horizon was the most reasonable priced scooter with suspension I could find and the reviews seemed to be favorable. Plus Fluid appears to be a solid company and backs the units with parts and support.
Well, the Horizons have proven a good choice. The ride is much better and they fold down to a very compact package. Setup was basically non existent as they are ready to go out of the box with the exception of charging. Fluid has also contacted us via email check to confirm all is well. A good sign of their commitment to the product.
Although purchased with a particular mission in mind we find ourselves riding them all the time just for pure pleasure. Really a lot of fun! I was a little concerned my wife would be somewhat hesitant riding these so I had hers in the P1 low speed mode. But after about 5 minutes she figured out the mode button and shifted to P3 and I had trouble catching up with her. She was all smiles and hasn't slowed down since!
BTW - We are both 69 years old and having a lot of FUN! So these aren't just for the younger generation.”
