“I originally had a electric skateboard in 2018-2019, it was awesome, but it wasn't always stable on the pavement. i eventually sold it and eventually bought a electric gokart for fun. well.. it was too heavy to transport places lol.
i bought this Fluid free ride because it's relatively lightweight and it's big enough to easily be comfortable to stand on. and it checked those boxes awesomely.
Pros: easy to carry (for me), Long battery life and comfortability is a plus. and really easy to learn how to lean into the turns / curves for easy turning. i'm 177 lb and i go around 23-25. ALSO, this thing is really a solid commuter. easy to transport and move and take anywhere. this is why i bought this. it feels sturdy. i wish they went with a throttle instead of a bike lever type.
Cons: really slow acceleration. takes a good 10-14 seconds to get going up to a decent speed. my electric skateboard i use to have, went to 20-25 mph as fast as i could pull the throttle. so it is a downside for me. but i am a junky for speed.
Con: the acceleration lever is a bummer. definitely not as comfortable in this regard. i would of loved a throttle for long trips and less chances of breaking it if it fell awkwardly.
Price Point: i would say for this category it is a good price point having done tons of research and having other electric transportation. but in this day and age, there are tons of good quality and some even less expensive for around what i got.
overall, i'm happy. i'm rating it a 4 out of 5 for a few things i think it would have made it a perfect Commuter/fun toy for me. there were other choices, but despite these minor things, i still chose Fluid. and i'll stand behind their product.”
“Shipping was real quick , box was un- damaged which was a plus with shipping these days. The scooter is actually pretty solid, and plenty fast for anyone. At 160lbs. , I got a solid 26mph on a full charge. I actually zoomed right passed a gas golfcart on the street.”
“This is my first e-scooter. A neighbor recommended the Horizon, and I couldn't be more satisfied. An unintended but practical use case now includes figuring out which park my kids are playing in ...”
“Still too cold for a lot of riding, but have already done a couple of 11+ mile rides to test my Horizon out. Does really well going up the hills in my neighborhood! Went on the raritan canal towpath and had a lot of fun. Never went below half battery, so I should be able to hit the rated distance.”
“I bought the horizon scooter and so far I'm very happy, it's not too heavy, runs fast and looks great. I have gotten a lot of compliments on it. I ended up buying the head light from them too since it didn't come with one. Overall I've had a great experience with this company and would recommend to anyone looking to buy a scooter.”
