fluid HORIZON V1 - 48V 13Ah - 30 miles Reviews

4.6 Rating 33 Reviews
The fit and finish on this scooter is really good. I have gone 9 miles at a body weight of 240 lbs., with some hills, and the battery bar still has not gone down at all. Amazing. The only gripe is the display is damn near impossible to read during daylight. I have outfitted the scooter with aftermarket phone holder, bicycle horn, front light, and last but not least...front turn signals. Overall, I think with this being so light and powerful, the Horizon scooter is a bargain. The 13.4 ah battery has given me the best range out of all of my electric bikes and sit down scooters. I highly recommend this scooter. Cheers.

I'm somewhat regretting purchasing from this company, the effort to resolve my problem has been so apathetic that I find all the positive reviews about service on here puzzling. I received two Horizon scooters on Friday July 3rd and one of them was not rideable as upon opening the box there was a loose bolt (in the bottom of the box) that appeared to have been overtightened in the manufacturing process (visible stress on the bolt) and I'm guessing subsequently snapped during shipment. Things happen, no problem. I e-mailed them immediately on Friday July 3rd with a picture of the problem (maybe they weren't working the day before the 4th), but to my surprise they didn't respond to me until late Tuesday afternoon the next week. They wanted a better picture of the problem. No problem - 30 minutes after getting their e-mail I sent three pictures and also informed them I had a time sensitive issue with a scooter vacation coming up. Almost 48 hours later they finally respond, now wanting a video of the problem which is puzzling because if they work on these scooters it seems really obvious what the problem is (what part I need) from the photos. I respond that I can't get a video immediately due to work having me out of town, but I'm able to get a video off to them the next morning. I'm told on Thursday they will problem solve and get the new part out the next day. Now it's 7:00 PM Friday the next day (I've had the broken scooter for a week now), I get an e-mail stating "Just getting around to your ticket" - "I will be back here tomorrow and ship the part." So they didn't ship it on Friday as promised but are now promising Saturday. I never receive a shipment notification on Saturday so I e-mail on Sunday. Monday around noon I get an e-mail that they weren't able to ship over the weekend due to "heavy Covid restrictions." Finally I get a notification that the part made it to USPS Tuesday morning and it won't be here until Friday (two weeks after I received the scooter). I'm sorta nervous at this point it will be the right part. Maybe others don't have a problem with this type of responsiveness but it just seems ridiculous to me. Lastly, I will say I asked someone to just call me a few times so we could quickly resolve any confusion they had, but no one was ever willing to speak with me. If I had to say something positive, it's not like they are completely ignoring my problem, they are just taking way too long. The scooter that works is excellent and I do think based on the research I did, this is an excellent value scooter compared to other offerings. I'm 207# and I can get it to 23mph on straight aways with a full charge and 27mph is top speed on a down hill. I did one full range test in mode 3 and was very satisfied, riding it hard (hills/going fast), and it got 24 miles as promised (13 amp battery). I was able to get it up a 10% incline, eventually slowed down to 10mph but it made it. I tried a 13% incline and couldn't make it. My daughter, who is 140# flew up a 15% incline so being lighter really helps in this area. Probably my only negative with the scooter would be the suspension, it can be very harsh going over sidewalk cracks. Overall, we are very satisfied with the scooter itself for the money we paid.

My girlfriend and I love this scooter. It's fast, powerful, and a lot of fun to ride. Upgraded to the 13amp battery and it keeps going for 25 miles plus! Highly recommend it.

I live in Massachusetts. Last summer I bought a Gotrax GXL V2 as a first scooter to try it out and see if it was for me. I liked it a lot, but I felt limited by the range and it didn't handle the hills very well. After having some problems with the GXL after bringing it out of storage, I decided to spring for something nicer. The Horizon is a tremendous value, in my opinion - a top speed over 20 mph and a real-use range of 20 miles (I bought the 13Ah battery)? The build quality is really good, the suspension is a fantastic upgrade for the terrible roads around here, and having such a long range is a real gamechanger. The increased speed is nice, and so is the much better hill climbing. For a 190 lb rider, the scooter tops out on flat ground at about 22 - 23 mph, which is fast enough for me - it's higher than the speed limit on a bunch of nearby streets, actually, so I feel comfortable taking the lane. I can't really recommend this enough. I don't regret buying the GXL V2 to test out scooting, but if you're someone who's already used a rental scooter and you were comfortable using it, I would just go straight to the Horizon. I spent a lot of time looking at alternatives before deciding on the Horizon, and you really can't do better than this combination of range, speed, and features for anywhere close to this price. One negative I do want to mention is that while the scooter has headlights and taillights, they're not great because of their positioning. The headlight is just above the front wheels and the taillights are on the back of the deck. If you're going to scoot at night, or in twilight, I strongly suggest you get a handlebar light and at least a red light you can attach to the back of your clothes or helmet to make you more visible. (The handlebar light they sell is quite nice, so I would recommend that one if you don't have one in mind.)

I am very pleased with my HORIZON fluid scooter. I use it to go shopping and run other errands. I've had it 2 weeks and have 130 miles on it. It performs as advertised on speed and miles per charge. I am very pleased with this scooter's performance. This scooter is a great value.

I recently received my Horizon 13ah scooter and am very pleased. I upgraded from a Gotrax XR Ultra that left me wanting more. The Horizon is truly legit and is built well. On my first charge, I was able to get 28 miles, which is amazing! Reaching speeds of 25 mph is so much more thrilling than what entry level scooters can do.

For about maybe 2 months I've been looking for an electric scooter that looks good, is not that expensive (compared to the WideWheel or the Mantis), and will be able to commute me to my school, and I'm glad to say that FluidFreeRide's Horizon met all those requirements, and more! At first, I originally was going for the Zero 8 scooter, but I didn't want to buy it from an overseas dealer, and the color and big lettering on it didn't strike me as attractive. The Horizon looks good, and I love the minimalist look about it. I purchased the 10 Ah version because it was less expensive ($675 with the Black Friday sale) and so far the range has been enough (About 12-13-ish miles) to get me through my day, going the top speed the whole way. I'm about 180 with a 15-20lbs backpack and 6'4", and the most I get on flats is 23mph, but after the battery gets down to the past 70%, it's more like 21-22. Slight downhills: 23-25, slight uphills: 20-22. I wish the handlebars were just a tad higher up, but it still works great. The Good: - Simple design - Regenerative braking (it works; there's no doubt about it. It just that you'd have to go down a pretty long hill for it to make a difference in the battery level) - Cruise control works as well - Constant speed (17-18mph) going up longer hills with maybe a 15% incline. - The display is very useful, and there are so many settings you can turn on/off. - For the price, you're getting an amazing scooter. - Great suspension, creates a smooth ride. Neutral: - Lights: More for letting people know you're there, but getting a handlebar light will do the job. - Kickstand: A bit shorter than optimal, but the weight of the motor and batteries keeps it from falling over. - Average of 21-22 on flats, which is good for me, but I just wish it actually hit the advertised 25. The not-so-great: - The handlebars come just a bit lose after my ride, have to tighten them every now and then - Just a bit heavy for what I'd call a portable scooter.
