“I am so happy with the Vista. It's well made, has solid tires, has a great display and outperforms more expensive scooters in terms of overall quality. If you are on the fence about getting the Vista, I would not hesitate.”
“I used to have the Fluid Horizon, which was phenomenal for commuters in the city. However, I live in the Bronx and there are a lot of hills here & I needed a stronger motor than 500W. Initially I wanted a dual motor but then I saw the fluid vista and said “let’s give it a try! For the price”
What I like:
-I can control the scooters settings through an app
-Cool color lights on side of deck
-signal switch makes noise when it’s on
-not too heavy to carry down stairs or up for just a few seconds (however, might be really heavy for subway)
-accelerates fast
-solid tires to prevent flats
-doesn’t need to be charged so often
-easy folding mechanism
-could ride in light rain
What I don’t like:
-when I brake at a higher speed the back wheel slides because it’s solid on concrete (I think that’s dangerous)
-the throttle is not the best, it’s a little jerky & sometimes I’ve had to turn off the scooter and turn it back on in order to make it work
-I hate that the power button is also used for other functions like adjusting the mode, lights etc.
-range is not that much for a 1000W motor, it’s more for power (which it’s okay if you’re planning to just commute around your borough)
-the horn is pathetic lol. The bell is louder than it
-I’d recommend to tighten the brakes a little more after getting it, because I feel like my brakes are too loose
This scooter has great potential, I would recommend to anyone who wants something affordable, and it’s great for those who live in NYC & need a quick lift anywhere, but tbh this is not a solid scooter. The hook on the scooter also bends with the weigh making it slide out of the hook, I wish I could change it at this point.
If you’re under 5’2 I don’t recommend, it might be too heavy and tall. I’m 5”2 but I lift weights at the gym so it makes it easier for me to carry a 60lb scooter. (Just a reference)
I hope that helped a little bit”
“Almost a month in, I love the fluid VISTA! Wish I’d had this scooter much longer. I live in San Francisco and it’s the perfect commuter scooter. Great speed, battery life/range, and maneuverability for daily city commutes. Best of all (for me) it pulls me up moderate hills and inclines with impressive ease. I’m 6’4 and 230lbs and the VISTA has no problem getting me up most of SF’s hills and inclines. It’ll even get me about halfway up steeper hills, and putting it into walk mode to finish the rest of the way is easy. LOVE the acceleration - and I safely routinely cruise through the streets at 20-25 mph without draining power.
So far it’s been super low maintenance and remarkably easy to operate and understand it’s functions.
The app is nice. Provides many valuable features like lighting control and customizable throttle and breaking options. Best of all there are lock and alarm functions. Definitely useful living in a city where I’ve had a scooter stolen before.
Can’t say enough good things about the VISTA!”
“This scooter is awesome, ride great and is crazy quick in sport mode. I have no trouble at all keeping up with traffic in NYC. My only complaint is the app isn't the best, but I think you'll be hard pressed to find a better scooter with this performance in this price range.”
“This is my first ever eScoot, rarely ride normal scooters but I do ride bikes. Everyone else's pictures cover the visuals just fine - this is like the motorcycle of scooters; stylish, solid, and big enough to not feel like you're riding a toothpick. Assembly was easy, save for the connecting wire in the stem and handlebar. For some reason, the little plastic connector was put in there at an angle, so it was next to impossible to get the thing to line up. I was super worried about bending the tiny little pins pushing the connectors together, and you'd never know until you got everything put together and turned it on for the first time. I ended up laying the thing on its side and used a headlamp to get things aligned properly, then electric tape around the connector to make sure it would never come loose. Pain in the butt. Otherwise, it was a snap to put together. On my maiden voyage, I was surprised at how much torque this thing has! But, I decided to play it safe and lowered the acceleration in the app (get to that in a moment) down to 30 (from 80) and things felt smoother and more stable. It's going to take some getting used to re. getting a feel for how it handles sharp turns and how to position at intersections since it's pretty beefy. The other thing I noticed was how jerky the acceleration was! Specifically, using the thumb throttle I felt made it impossible to lock-in a steady speed anywhere below the programmed max. If you want to "hit it" and ramp straight to 20mph, no problem, but if you want to take it easy and cruise around 10mph your experience may be one of rev-rev-rev-rev-rev - super jerky. Outside of switching to a different speed mode and using that new max, I found it impossible to smooth out the lower-than-maximum-speed ride... Maybe I'll figure it out, we'll see. Thinking, a grip shift would probably make this a lot more easy to manage. That being said, cruising at the full 20 felt great and it handled a fairly steep (25 degree'ish) climb effortlessly... I weigh 218lbs, for reference, and 5' 11". The solid tires were a bit rough on the sidewalks, definitely bumping on every single crack despite the shocks, but I wanted the solid tires so I didn't have to worry about flats. After I moved on to the road, super smooth. The tail L/R blinkers are pretty sweet (embedded lights), but the thumb switch feels a bit jankey. Could use some work there. And having a manual bell on such a stylish tech-beast? Come on. I'd expect some sort of programmable, digital bell with a volume control. Overall, B+ on the assembly, B on the ride (until I figure out how to smooth out the ride at lower speeds), and B+ on style. Now, let's talk about the app, people... "KingSong". I downloaded it, it connected just fine, and I was summarily presented with a slew of options attached to field labels that made zero sense to me whatsoever. It's got some piss-poor UX, I can't for the life of me figure out how to switch over to US metric (F and MPH), it's got an average of one star on the Android store, and the developer still hasn't responded to me re. how to change the metric setting or where to find a guide/manual. I wrote Fluid support today and they also don't have any such thing. This, to me, is the Achille's Heel of this whole experience. Hire a local dev, remake the app in a way that matches the "feel" of the products you sell, and provide instructions. Please. And thanks. Total garbage. All that being said, I did a lot of reviews prior to purchasing this scooter... Was about to pull the trigger on the Mantis, but decided the solid tires and extended range made more sense for my purposes (city rider). This scooter is aggressively priced vs. the feature set it offers, it just looks and feels like a Harley, and it's got one hell of a range. Solid purchase. Side-note: If you decide to get the folding lock from Fluid, know that strapping it to the stem and taking it on a ride will result in an insane amount of rattling. I ended up just putting it in my pocket.”
“Perfect amount of speed and range! Headlight quality is good. Turn signals and horn are nice to have. Only thing I would think to change is the horn make it loud enough for a car to hear you other than that it's a perfect scooter never have to worry about a flat and with the estimated 45mile range you will get plenty of rides in.”
