“The design is very attractive and sleek. The power to go up hills is unquestioned. The throttle response needs a firmware adjustment. There very little power at initial power command, and then it shoots off to full throttle halfway mark on the thumb lever. This is scary. One really has to meter the throttle carefully. It is not linear. It is exponential in response.”
“Brutal power, but throttle is kind of jerky with a _big_ deadband. No regenerative breaking. No app for logging rides, remaining power and perform settings to the scooter.”

“Prior to the Wide Wheels, I commuted to work on a xiaomi m365. There is this one hill in my commute that the m365 is just unable to get up. I hop off the scooter and walk it up every time... Now I don't have to anymore! The wide wheel demolishes hills including this one.
If there was one thing I would say is a "negative" is that the throttle is pretty sensitive. It takes some time getting used to, but even though I've been riding it for a month now, the initial acceleration still surprises me sometimes.
The scooter arrived in almost perfect condition - the exception was the plastic plates that covered the suspension and wire from the motor. Usually they're held on by two screws - the one that digs into the plastic was broken. The cover still works perfectly being held by one screw, but of course I would much rather have an undamaged scooter. Luckily FluidFreeRide has excellent customer service. A quick email to Julien / Peter and the sent replacement parts right away. Kudos to the amazing customer service!”
“Thanks Peter. This is a follow-up to an earlier review. Just wanted to add the video concerning the issue. I already opened the control box and the actual mechanism is working as I can use the controls when depressing the inside button directly. When I put the cover back in place, it fails to engage the "inside" button situated directly on the little board. Short video shows the problem. Thank for your help.

“Received my Wide Wheel about 2 weeks ago. Love everything about with a few exceptions: One: the buttons to turn on and change modes stopped working to what seems a mechanical failure of the "button mechanism" which means I can't engage motors after turning key. "Hope" someone had same issue and ready fix. Otherwise, all good but for minor issue when riding on wet surfaces. Rear wheel cover is too short to prevent water splashing up all the way on rear leg. Hope I don't sound too negative but the first issue I raised is a real bummer and I don't see an easy fix short of replacing the "unit". Hope to receive some response and suggestions.
