2019 WideWheel Dual 500W motor - 13.2Ah battery Reviews

This little machine is amazing! The scooter came in a box, folded and there was surprisingly little assemblage required. All I had to do is to take it out of the box, lift the handlebar, wipe it clean of some dust and oil. I noticed that an electrical wire from the throttle was jammed in the handlebar folding mechanism, which could potentially damage it. Fortunately, it didn't happen. There was also a little screw missing that locks the throttle assembly in place on the handlebar. It was simple to find a replacement screw; so with that the scooter was ready for its maiden ride. The speed it is able to achieve is amazing: it feels like flying without actually leaving the ground. That was especially true after I unblocked the speed-limit restriction in the "setting". One interesting thing I found, to disengage the "ECO-MODE" setting that prevents using the full speed you have to do exactly the opposite of what the instructions booklet says: when it's OFF, it's actually ON, and vice-versa. So, it's best not rely entirely on the settings described in to the booklet. Instead, try different settings when you are on a long, leveled stretch of the path, free of traffic or cross-streets, to see what each one does. Speaking of the weight, at it's 40+ lbs and almost 3 feet of length. It's a bit clumsy to try to take it on a metro bus (trains work much better). On the plus side, the weight along with its full suspension provides a stable and comfortable ride. Going uphill: It does take me up a very steep hill. The speed slows down to a crawl yet it is definitely powerful enough for the task. When I ride a bicycle up the same hill, I have to switch to the alpine gear to negotiate that. Range. The longest stretch I traveled so far is from Redondo Beach to Santa Monica, an 18 mile journey. Plus there was that hill I mentioned above. No problem at all. There was even enough "juice" still left in the battery. But it's probably was close to the limit judging by the voltage...

Love the Widewheel. I've been using it to commute to work, 3.5 miles each way. for 3 weeks. Stand up scooters are more dangerous on the road than bicycles so be a good defensive rider and wear safety gear. The scooter has impressive power. It will go 25mph on a full charge but after about 80% discharge it goes about 23mph. The shocks are OK (pretty stiff) but it's still bumpy ride if the asphalt is not smooth. It rides very well in grass and dirt. I like that I can't get a flat tire, but I'm trading off a more comfortable ride. Overall great scooter. Big hit with my friends!

I'm the only one in my community with this scooter. People see me riding it or at a stop light and say that a bad ### scooter. I'm still learning how to ride it, but I love it.

I'm a little disspointed with the permormace of the throttle. I was told the sensitivity was resolved. I need to press the throttle almost 1/3 the way to start the acceleration and it is hard to maintain a steady slow speed. The motors seem to cut out when going over bumps. I dont know if this is by design or a defect. I am pleased with the looks structure and speed and support of the scooter ....so far

I've had my dual motor widewheel for about a month. It came with a broken swing arm but I emailed Fluid Free Ride and they immediately sent me a replacement part. Out of the box the scooter did around 16 mph. I found a youtube video on how to unlock power mode and now it does around 23 mph, which is fast enough! I use it for commuting approximately 6-7 miles to work. I charge it up after every ride and it only takes about 3 hours after that use. I fold it up and keep it under my desk. It is a bit heavy to carry at 50 lbs. It rides nice with the suspension but is a little rough over bumps with the airless tires. It would be nice if they offered a wire in speedometer or odometer as an option. Overall great scooter for the price!

Bought the scooter for my husband. He loves it, the scooter is powerful, fast, and very comfortable to ride in. I might just get one for myself!.

The only downside I noticed was a significant drop in power after reaching approximately 40% remaining power. I know this is common, but this drop in power seems to be drastic from what I've come to understand. In my case at least, the power dropped so significantly that I could not climb a hill that was well under 15 degrees.
