“Quality and power is okay, but pretty well below all the YouTube videos (speed is way over rated-even unlocked). Nice construction, but hope for a change in the skateboard tape deck. Probably would look elsewhere next time.”
“I purchased and received the WW scooter about three weeks ago, and it was the third scooter I have owned.
I expected it to be awesome, and I was disappointed.
Even with dual suspension the ride was more harsh than my Xiami m365.
I got the dual motor version and the acceleration was great, but not only did I feel all bumps harshly, but the turning was very unnatural and not well suited for city scooting if you need to squeeze between cars in traffic as wide leaning is necessary due to the wide wheels.
Someone on the street admired it after I'd been riding if for over an hour. We exchanged numbers and after I spent another hour riding it the next day, I was thrilled he bought it ftom me. In fairness,he took it for a few minute spin and liked it... so it maybe be just personal taste, but it wasn't for me.
I just got the turbo wheel dart yesterday, the ride is great, but the breaks are not even as capable as the Xiami m365's single disc break, but they're ok if you squeeze both firmly.
Other than that, I'm pretty happy with it, but not thrilled as I had been hoping.”
“I have the dual motor version and couldn't be more happy with the power and speed. I was flying over the 59th street bridge today thinking how great is this . I only wish the tires were softer and rounder but still wouldn't ride any of my other scooters before the widewheel.”
“I purchased the wide wheel dual motor version that has just been released. This thing is a beast. I accelerate as fast as the cars. And the rough streets of Boston are no match for the wide airless wheels with suspension. My main reason I bought this particular scooter was - I wanted something without air in the tires and something with suspension. The last thing I need is to have a flat when driving to work and the feel of scooters without suspension on rough pavement is very jarring. This scooter exceeded my highest expectations! Now I just have to figure out how to order the accessories.”
“This is the most powerful and stable scooter that I have yet to ride. So far, I've ridden the Bird, Lime, Spin, and Razor rental scooters. I also bought the Hover-1 and Jetson Quest and was impressed with the quality of their build at $400 and $550. The newer Bird and Lime scooters are still very strong and stable scooters, which feels like much safer and more efficient rides, but the moment I rode on the WideWheels, I was blown away at its acceleration. I read enough reviews to know to be aware of its torque at the beginning, but even with that, I wasn't completely prepared for how much power that thing really has.
Knowing its specs, I made my best efforts to push it to its limits right off the bat. On my first ride, I took it to a parking structure to test its uphill strength. Even on eco mode, the scooter flawlessly climbed those hills. And though your specs say 220 max limit, the power of the motors pushed my 270 lbs butt up those hills with absolute ease.
The second test run I did was to ride it till it died. And against all of the warnings, I switched the settings to the red light of death mode and made a 10 mile trek through the Long Beach bike lane onto 2nd Street, through Naples, and ultimately to my workplace. With most of my ride going 25 mph, I got to my 10 mile destination in 30 minutes. Riding for a bit more, I measured its capacity at 16 miles with most of my commute at 25 mph and I am extremely impressed.
So far, I believe that a 20 mile battery capacity is doable with going at its eco 15 mph mode, which is already a sufficient speed for commuting through downtown Long Beach. And with the kind of torque it has for accelerating, I feel very safe going through intersections with other cars.
So far my review stands at 5 stars overall. But to more specific:
Safety - 5/5
Power - 5/5
Distance - 5/5
Portability - 5/5 (But that's because I feel like I can carry 50 lbs fairly okay)
User Interface - 4.5/5 (Mainly due to the minimalistic li...”
