“A fantastic experience hiking through the Canadian Rockies. Our guides, Kevin and Stephanie, were true professionals who gave us a safe and challenging outdoor adventure. The combination of high alpine trekking and wooded, backcountry "bushbashing" provided for breathtaking views of the Canadian wilderness that only those with alot of experience OR a great pair of guides get to enjoy. Good food and great conversations made it all the more special. Highly recommended.”
“Our guides, Sabrina and Marianne, took amazing care of us with thoughtful planning, excellent meals and snacks, and first-aid/slow walking buddy support when I rolled my ankle coming down a slippery trail. For mid-30s city dwellers who mostly exercise in the gym, the hikes were challenging at times (especially the first day's altitude adjustment), but the views were well worth it. Our guides were also very accommodating of those who were not interested in doing the day's hike. We were glad that we brought the following items: Warm hats for chilly mornings, Comfy camp shoes/sandals, Moisture-wicking base layers, A spare battery back (for when the van chargers were all being used), Bug spray, Waterproof footwear (it rained during two days of our trip and we hiked through it!) We were lucky to have a group that gelled well together, so much so that several of us hung out in Calgary after the tour and connected on social media. I wanted a summer camp for adults vibe and Fresh Adventures absolutely delivered.”
“My two daughters (ages 26+27)and i went on a guided backpacking trip in the backcountry near Banff National Park. Our guides Kevin and Stephanie were wonderful!! They were very welcoming and treated us with great hospitality. They have a great deal of experience and made us feel safe in bear country!! They tended to detail in their preparation, providing a few small important items we forgot. Kevin rerouted us easily when our route was obliterated due to a recent avalanche. Stephanie prepared delicious dinners for us and took photos for us. Overall, they treated us like friends!! I would highly recommend a backpacking trip with them and Fresh Adventures!!!”
“I just got back from the 7 day Rockies tour and could not have had a better week. Everything about this trip was great, from the camping to the food to the amazing hikes and rafting trip. For my first time in Canada this trip was a perfect way to explore the area, going to a mix of the popular places that you want to see and to the hidden gems you wouldn't find without a guide. The hikes were varied, we swam in lakes, climbed some mountains and went on the white water rafting trip (which was great!). Our guides, Jafar and Morgan, were brilliant. Jafar's cooking was great and far exceeds what you expect to eat on a camping trip - the cheese/meat boards made mid-hike with a stunning view a highlight. Both have great knowledge of all of the hikes/nature/plants you see and were just great at what they do. The group of people on the trip were also great, a perfectly varied group and we had some great evenings at the camp. All in all an amazing trip.”
“I had THE BEST time on this fresh adventures trip. It was 6 nights of camping, with 5 full days of hiking. We had a group of 12 with 2 guides and they were all the best people. We bonded straight away and worked together really well. Our guides Jafar and Morgan were absolutely awesome - they made everything so much fun and had endless enthusiasm. They were really mindful of people’s different abilities and just made all of our hikes incredible. They knew the best places to take us to, where there were fewer tourists and unbelievable views. They were both just so much fun to hang out with for the week. They also cooked us amazing meals and provided us with literally bottomless snacks. There were loads of options everyday for breakfast, including delicious pancakes one day. We were taken to some of the most stunning lunch spots you could imagine, and were fed with delicious charcuterie board lunches there! And every night our dinner was cooked from scratch, completely delicious and full of healthy veggies. They catered really well for everyone’s dietary requirements. Camping and hiking is just THE WAY to see the Rockies. We were so lucky to be fully immersed in the environment. I have never been much of a camper but I’m so glad I did it this way and Fresh Adventures made it really easy. The tents were huge and in good condition, and they gave us comfy sleeping mats. The campsites we stayed in had toilets and showers and the guides made sure we were really safe from any wildlife. That week was one of the best I’ve ever had.”

The camping food was literally blowing my mind on this trip: seafood risotto, medditerenian dinner with grilled halumi cheese and cesar cocktails, Mexican dinner with 3 options of tacos and margaritas, a fondu on top of the mountain, a proper cheeseboard with grapes and smoked salmon on top of another mountain, freshly made cinnamon buns, chili, etc. Laurence and Justine, our French-Canadian guides are absolute sweethearts and I am so blessed to meet so many amazing people on this trip!”
