I had an amazing time doing Fresh Adventures 8 day camping Vancouver Island experience. Carl and Marie were wonderful guides that made everyday fun and exciting with different activities to do and things to explore. The meals were excellent and they did a wonderful job accommodating to everyone's needs. As a solo female traveler, the camping experience was amazing and I got to meet so many wonderful people and make some incredible friends on this journey. I highly recommend this tour if you are up for some adventure and enjoy camping. I really felt I got to see so much of the Island and make everlasting memories.

My husband and I went on the 8-day Vancouver Island trip early September and we had a fantastic time. Our two guides, Stephen and Margot, went over and above what one would normally expect from tour guides to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. The trip includes visiting many popular spots, but they also took us to see some hidden gems as well. With a small group (11) there were some opportunities for flexibility in the schedule and activities, which was really nice. We are not regular campers, but setting up the tents was very easy. The sleeping pad that was provided was good quality and comfortable – just make sure you fully inflate it! We also rented the sleeping bags and they were warm and comfortable. For excursions, we did the boat cruise through Barkley Sound, the trip to the hot springs and kayaking. All of the excursions provided opportunities to see wildlife and beautiful scenery. For the hot springs, water shoes are highly recommended as the rocks are quite slippery. That was probably our least favourite excursion, however we still enjoyed it and on the trip to and from we saw whales, sea otters, sea lions and seals. Last but not least, I was really impressed with the food, it was delicious. Lots of variety, plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, and we most definitely never went hungry. Overall it was a great trip that I would highly recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed our whirlwind tour of Vancouver Island with Fresh Adventures. The guides, Margo and Steven were superb, the group fantastic, the scenery world class, meals 5 star, and it was overall a rich, memorable, fun, travel experience. Some things I really appreciated: Not having to plan or decide anything other than where to put our tent in the campsite and what to drink before and during dinner. The camaraderie that we experienced with a wonderful group of human beings. There were three couples who were long-time friends from Canada, a newlywed couple from Philadelphia (and we were all their honeymoon partners), and my spouse and I are from Utah. We represented various ages and stages of life and had a great time. The element of surprise and novelty experienced every day. The variety of activities and choices that Margo and Steven offered. Have I mentioned how much we laughed the whole week? We are pretty spoiled when it comes to natural beauty and it takes a lot to wow us. We were wowed. Superb weather. Truly delighted that we chose to go with Fresh Adventures rather than experience a week on the island on our own. We will treasure our memories for years to come.

I did the 8 day Vancouver Island Camping trip and it was fantastic!! We had Claire and Stephen as our guides and they did an amazing job :) It is a great way to see more of the beautiful island. The hikes we did were in places only locals would know about so it was perfect for me who is travelling alone. The optional excursions are really worth doing. They provide you with easy to assemble tents and nice comfortable sleeping mats too. Just be prepared for not many opportunities to shower. The food on the trip was seriously good quality and exceeded my expectations! This was a great trip and I would highly recommend it!!

My wife and I recently completed the 8 day Vancouver Island tour with our wonderful guides Margot and Stephen. It was an amazing experience! We are not campers but decided to give this a try and it did not disappoint. The sights we saw on the Island were spectacular and the itinerary provided a good mix of different activities - hiking, kayaking, boating, sightseeing, beach walks, etc. The tents and sleeping bags/pads met our needs and the quality/quantity of the food blew us away. It was definitely far beyond normal camping food! Our guides were a delight, so accommodating and knowledgeable about the different areas we travelled as well as experienced in how to live in the wild. We couldn’t have asked for anything better and highly recommend this tour!

My wife and I were on the 8 day Vancouver Island trip in early September. Although a bit apprehensive about going back into a tent after a couple of decades, the whole experience was wonderful. We covered a lot of territory in those 8 days and saw a wide variety of what Vancouver Island has to offer. We were guided by Margot and Stephen who were enthusiastic, knowledgeable, hard working (first ones up in the morning and last ones to bed at night) and were great cooks! The provided camping equipment was top notch and the food was excellent. A great time!

Fresh Adventures Eight day camping and hiking tour of Vancouver Island. This for us was THE most fun adventure tour of our lifetimes. Alex showed us parts of Vancouver Island that we could never have seen alone-or even imagined. Rainforest hikes through ancient spruce and cedar. Beaches that went on forever. Boat tours/cruise, including one where we saw a black bear foraging with cubs at the shoreline, then sea lions and whales. A board walk through cool rainforest hiking to steaming hot springs, paddling canoes on pristine lakes surrounded by forested mountains, all these were some of the highlights on this tour. Alex, together with Claire, made a perfect team. Her knowledge of flora and fauna was a definite asset, and her all round competence pretty amazing. Just a fun person to have on the team. They showed great flexibility and managed three quite different lots of dietary requirements with aplomb so all needs were catered for. On our particular group tour, ages ranged between 20-s to an ‘intrepid’ seventy plus -year-old (me) with all able to participate in activities at their own level. We had so much fun and laughter despite, (or because of?) the wide age range. Oh, one more thing, the food-did I mention the food? Truly gourmet, high quality, beautifully cooked, more than adequate servings. Camp tucker never looked as good as this. Tents and sleeping bags provided if, like us, you were unable to bring your own, were top quality, tents up in minutes. Warm and cosy, and totally weather and waterproof. This Vancouver Island camping and hiking tour was beyond our expectation. Do not miss a chance to travel with Fresh Adventures. Your life will never be quite the same. It was truly, AWESOME.

My wife and I had been wanting to see Vancouver Island for quite some time and when I noticed this trip we booked it spontaneously without much in the way of research or planning. As it turns out, Alex is an incredibly pleasant and knowledgeable young man who knows the island quite intimately. We had a fabulous time, met some wonderful people, and learned a lot about the Island and its industries. This is real camping, not glamping, so plan accordingly! Be prepared to make new friends, enjoy communal meal prep, and see beautiful territory.
