“I've given it 5 stars but I had to fix some issues. . . .I have some issues with the torch and hose. Even after tightening every connection with two spanners, each joint leaked gas. I had to undo and then almost over-tighten the joints a couple of times to stop all leaks. Check all of the joints with very soapy water. The torch ran well with the needlepoint burner for a few minutes with a blue cone flame of around 1 ¼” and then it faded to a blue cone of about ¾”. I found that there was some very fine white fluffy material in the needlepoint burner head that needed very fine tweezers to remove. I was using it straight out of the sealed plastic bag so the debris must have come from the factory. I found that the angle of the bend in the neck makes it quite uncomfortable to use when standing at a regular working-height bench. I know that I've invalidated any warranty but I gently bent the neck down an additional 22 degrees making it much more comfortable to use. I had to make a wire hook arrangement to allow me to hang the torch up easily, Why doesn't it have a provision to hang it up?? Good service from Hamiltons but considering the torch is Swiss made I was a bit disappointed in their quality control. However, after sorting out the problems it's a great little torch. “Excellent torch for jewellery. Unfortunately it was supplied with a faulty leaking hose. This was quickly replaced by the vendor but surely should not have happened?”
