“I've gotten decent at installing these. Bought 6 but added a window so I bought one more. The storms here in Northern CA have been impressive and the awnings have held up admirably after a couple of years. Not fading or breaking. Much better looking than aluminum and undoubtedly more durable than wood, I recommend them. Note: use caulking with every screw and be certain to caulk under the flashing above the shade. Makes your worry about leaks go away. I have an extension driver for the last screw that holds the canvas in place. That helps Good product. I am keen to see how the elastic band with the metal grommet holds up over more time. So far so great! CJ”

“We purchased three awnings for our historic home, and couldn't be happier with the results. The color we chose looked like a close match for our exterior paint, and when they arrived we happy to find it was 100% perfect. For durability, they're outstanding. We get gusts from the north sometimes reaching upwards of 40mph, and they stood up just fine. Sure they flapped and rattled a bit, but nothing came loose or broke. The assembly was easy, and while a second set of hands would have been desirable (and I'd recommend treating this as a two-person job) I was able to install them by myself without any trouble. The instructions are clear and the pieces easily identified based on the drawings. We're going to pick up another set for our wider living room windows soon!”

“This replaced another #3700 destroyed by Sally. My only complaint is, the measuring instructions are somewhat confusing, in that the fabric part of awning is the size listed, not the frame size. I ended up with 3-4 in smaller unit than previous one, purchased through Lowe's. Also needs a quick fabric removal feature for Hurricanes!”
