“I want to let you know how totally satisfied I have been with dealing with General Awnings. I found the internal sales person I dealt with very professional and knowledgeable. I was very pleased with the delivery and the packaging of the awnings. The instructions were helpful and after the first couple of awnings we assembled the process got easier and quicker. My one concern that I had is that we would get to the last awning and be short something. It did not happen and I am so thankful for that. “I was very happy with this awning but it requires you be quite skilled at assembly and mechanically inclined. There were tons of screws and nuts and bolts and the instructions were a little confusing. I put a couple of pieces on wrong which resulted in a reverse bend. Luckily nothing was damaged but it wasn't as smooth as it should have been. Lots of drilling too. Very labor intense. But in the end it was exactly what I wanted and I am happy with it.”

“I hate them - I have only installed one of the three. My old awnings had nice generously sized tabs that hold all the pieces together securely. I have taken them up and down a few times to paint and once to repair after storm damage, and they have remained "together". The tabs on these are so small and flimsy that one comes apart as soon as you try to engage the next one. And there is one entire brace across the lower front that my old ones have that these new ones do not. I plan refinish my old awnings and not even use these. Not sure what I will do with them. Thought about sending them back, I don't even care if I don't get my money back. I just don't want them.”

“Prompt delivery. I had ordered the awning for my back entrance porch just to try out. When received there was a few parts damaged and were replaced immediately. I am pleased with the material (strong) it was proven when we had 30" of snow and strong wind and no damage at all. Will order for the front of the house. Thank you!”
