Whilst a useful course overall, I questioned when it noted that a laptop should not be used to take notes during the meeting, citing that this may be distracting for other participants and that it would increase the temptation to just copy and paste into the final minutes. This felt a very old-fashioned view! Many people (including myself) cannot hand write quickly enough to take sufficient notes to accurately record the minutes, and using a computer to type them up is in this case the superior option which should still be considered as valid. Tips could perhaps be given to suggest good ways to do this well rather than just denying it as an option. Other than that it gave it good overview of the meeting and minute taking process, although might be worth adding some sections for virtual meetings which are much more common now.
